There was a siting in a store, by Patrica who said the woman allegedly mouthed the words HELP!?
There was a siting in Vermount at a Disco, I though I saw someone look exactly like her in Habitant Nova Scotia at an American winery.
Weeper has stated these have all been researched, why can't you believe this! It is worned, tried, tested and all sightings including my own, are FALSE, that is to say those made thus far.
Weeper also has information to declare that this is a recovery operation at this point. Why do you not believe him, he has more information than we, and he would not say something so cruel if he was not able to substaniate his information, just because he doesn't place it here doesn't make it false.
Peri,

I beg to disagree.

Sorry, previous post incomplete.

Did the person seen by Mrs. Bish on June 26 at the Comins Pond parking lot have a real cookie duster?

Mrs. Bish said he actly calmly and returned her steady gaze before leaving the parking lot.

Does the sketched figure (link below), composed with the help of Mrs. Bish, resemble anyone who might have been near Maura Murray around the time she disappeared? Did Maura know, directly or indirectly, anyone who resembles the figure in the sketch?

Maura and Billy were planning a wedding for the fall of 2005. So, yes, in a matter of a few months (18 is, after all, only a few)"
When were they going to tell Fred? He seemed to be in the dark. Billy stated they were engaged to be engaged. What about the engagement part. Sharon never mentioned a fall wedding either.
18 is after all only a few? A few months? 18 is over a year and a half.???????
I will take your non-response as a confirmation that this is a bunch of B.S.
Thank you :)
18 months is actually a short time to plan a wedding, but I would think that things would have already begun to be planned---location booked, minister/priest contacted etc., parents informed, newspaper annoucement if there was an actual date in place.

If I ever see you in person....I will call you "A BIG JERK" to your face. Ap-parent-ly you seem to fit the defintion better than Fred.

The car is wrecked or my daughter is hurt....hmmmm...let me choose which one is more important.

He certainly said that. Do I believe him? Absolutely not. Why? Because I can't imagine any father not thinking it was a big deal when his son or daughter wrecked his new car causing 8 to 10 grand in damage and was 100% at fault. If he had said, "Yes, I was very upset and I told her so," I would have believed him. Instead, I now question anything he says always wondering what he's concealing and why.
I am amazed by the extent to which some people are willing to suspend their common sense because they feel sorry for him.
Maura never gave her family a moments worry up until the accident with the Corolla.

This is something I can very much relate to.

I can also relate to what it is like having sisters. I grew up with sisters and we were all very close in age. I can tell you first hand that the petty BS falls by the wayside during times of loss and tragedy.

I've accepted that there are people on this forum who will never fully understand the levels of anguish Maura's family has endured.

I've learned through experience never to try to put myself in someone else's shoes and to certainly not pass judgement.

I have been using common sense.

Seriously, being a nurse, I have seen parents react BOTH ways---the adrenaline gets running and things that aren't meant literally get blurted out --- if she showed up at the motel room she was obviously OK and that MAY have been an initial reaction (as he could see that she was OK).

When things are taken out of context, it can create a completely different impression of the reality.

Columbo,

That is the second person from Essex to go missing. The woman below also drove a BLACK SATURN and disappeared after a phone call. I don't know how they know that, but maybe it was a disturbing phone call someone witnessed?

I don't agree. I have a daughter I love dearly and I would not allow her to manipulate me like that. Your example sounds like a cliche ridden father in a Hollywood script.
That's possibly the first and ONLY time my own dad has ever been called anything resembling a cliche. Because except for the names that's pretty much how my entire conversation went.

It's not manipulation when it's the truth. I was really upset and guilty that I had just crunched up my dad's relatively new car (which I had borrowed because mine was in the shop. This happened when I was 30). My dad could not have cared less because I presented myself to him and was unhurt except for a sprained wrist. His response about the car? "That's why there's auto insurance."

Hopefully your daughter will never be in a situation where she was even that close to physical harm, but if she is, I suspect your stance might change.

Exhaustion is the likely the reason she needed a rest. Fred bringing Maura back for a rest, for all we know she rested at the Motel and pretty difficult to tell your children what to do when they are adults. I have gone days and days without sleep, especially after a shock or being over tired, my guess is that Maura hatched the plan to leave on Sunday and likely had not much rest that night either.
She was burning the candles at both ends...and so it seems so unlikely to be drinking an driving, especially Vodka in a diet coke bottle, the effects would have been rather immediate, and too we do not know if she ate on Monday.
With as little sleep as Maura had to have had that weekend, it's unlikely she even NEEDED alcohol to present as drunk. Exhaustion does weird things to a body and a person's reaction times.

No, my non-response was confirmation that I was away from my computer last night, giving a eulogy at a close friend's funeral. Sharon was the one who gave the information about the fall wedding. They were shopping for engagement rings over Christmas break. I don't know whether or not Fred knew--I've never heard one way or the other. People say that Fred didn't know. Where are they getting that from? I honestly haven't seen that. Also--maybe he *didn't* know. Maybe they were going to surprise him. Maybe Billy is old-fashioned and was going to ask his permission.

Mostly I didn't respond to you because I had other, more important things on my mind this week. I didn't see this as one of the pressing questions that needed addressing before I buried my young friend. Sorry if you felt slighted by that.

Is it? No, seriously, I don't know. Mine was planned in just under 10 months (no, not for THAT reason...LOL). I don't know if they'd set a date. All I know is that Sharon and/or Helena said they had been planning a wedding for fall of 2005. Presumably they had not set a date, since the ring had not yet been purchased.

I don't understand the judging on this post.
The post makes perfect sense to me.

Why must Fred be demonized by implied poor parenting?... and blamed for being the patriarch of "the family from hell"?
Where is the evidence?

Was he considered to be so offensive when came on too strong and perhaps failed to observe unknown protcol and search etiquette in northern NH?

I don't understand.
