Ben - Sales Engineers are busy - charge up to 500.00 an hour. Nathan's time is valuable. Please let me know when you can meet so I can check his outlook. Don't forget we have a time difference. I am on PST time.. home of the morning earthquake... I didn't even wake up.

Ben Franklin-
Also - he is not charging..... didn't want to imply that . Just letting you know his time is valuable.

Any updates on Gary Ridgeways attorney? You know he has a horrible reputation. Defending a serial killer.
Interesting - always on the defense side and now taking a stand for a victim

I just hope we hear from Weeper soon. Maybe with the Bish case this is why he has been so quiet. He can't comment - we know they always keep some info close to the vest that only the perp would know. they could have found something - am sure they have quite a bit since it was 75% and weeper has said its a recovery - there is a reason behind that.

While I am at it.......... Since we haven't heard from the attorney.

Keep in mind the DEFENSE attorney for Gary Ridgeway would NOT let people know where his home address or town was located. This guy has a target on his back and always will for DEFENDING a cold blooded murderer. He would not use the public internet either. Dedicated connection so those that are looking for him - can't find him. Believe me - alot of families are looking for him

That was actually my first thought when the introductions were made.

Although I do think it was a brilliant attempt at diversion. Picked the wrong attorney to impersonate.

So Back to Maura

Advocater printed the 33 page log on the new forum......... it does not match up.. go take a look.

Especially the comment about maroon trucks - times not matching - and Fred has been right along.......... for those that said mean things. He did call - twice and had to leave a message for PD to call him back - asks if officer has cell - negative...... come on this was 2004.
Good info - supports what Fred has been saying over and over for years. as Beagle would say.. I will say it.. GO TEAM

I talked to legal they said in no shape or form is that a search warrant. They aren't even asking for a resident/persons to be searched.
Of course it's not a search warrant. It clearly states it is a "Supporting Affidavit for Issuance of Search Warrant". When LE wants a search warrant, they have to justify what their reason is for requesting one. This Affidavit sets forth the reasons a search warrant is being requested.

Just run it by an attorney.. They can clear it up quite clearly. You can google supporting affidavit as well. The dates are always spelled out in the body so it can't be tampered with.
Hope that helps. Welcome - to the board :-). Have a great weekend!!

Hmmm, obviously you don't have so much as an inkling of the value of defense attorneys in our legal system. Anyone charged with a criminal offense is ENTITLED BY LAW to a defense attorney. There's a good reason for that: sometimes the person charged didn't do it! But that's not KNOWN for certain until a judge or jury voices a verdict. Until that verdict, the defendant is "presumed innocent" and as such needs the assist of a defense attorney. It's the defense attorneys that keep our justice system tops in the world, and even though there is always room for improvement it's one h*ll of a lot better than what goes on elsewhere.

you say: "I mean, THINK! Think of the ratio of good people to bad people!"
i believe that is what is so draining here, Quija...you bring another perspective to the ever-present mindset that everyone is a perp in the North Country.
it always surprises me when surveys of the general population reveal that passers-by won't stop to assist others in need...because i know so many who wouldn't turn away, and indeed, would endanger their own lives for the sake of others.
Sadly I know of at least one person that I highly doubt would ever stop again to help anyone in this lifetime. And I would not blame them at all for it.

Hi its good to know that this hasnt been let go.My wife and myself lived less than a mile from where this happend at then time. And we moved 2 yrs later we moved there and bought or house in hopes to start a family but soon changed our mind when this all happened.I myself hiked the woods as well as lost river over and over again. To this day it still bothers me that so little was done.
I am glad you searched in your immediate area, many have..Where did you live? Can you expand on why did you move? Thank you.

I agree LogicSong and great job at expressing - its true as american's we are innocent until proven guilting.

I think most would agree that Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgeway were guilty. It is hard to defend DNA in the ridgeway case. That was pretty much a open and closed case.

He still had the right for a fair trial and a jury of his peers.

Thanks for being so diplomatic.

Great Weekend everyone

I still don't understand why people have this impression--that there's a mindset of that.
It is true that everyone mentioned in this case, by name or by proximity, has been scrutinized and considered a suspect. But that's because IT'S A CRIMINAL CASE. Scrutiny happens. It's not because anyone thinks everyone in the North Country is a perp. I don't think I've EVER heard anyone say that. And I KNOW I've seen several people refuting that, or qualifying that.
Maura's car had an accident in NH. That is the last known sighting of Maura's belongings, and the last presumed sighting of Maura. Therefore, someone IN THAT AREA AT THE TIME is very likely a perp.
That does not mean that there is a bushel of spoiled apples up there, and I really really wish people would stop being so defensive. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THERE ARE CRIMINALS EVERYWHERE. This particular criminal search is being concentrated in NH. Big whoop. I grew up in NYC and its environs. You want to talk about everyone being a perp by geography? Jeez.
***Therefore, someone IN THAT AREA AT THE TIME is very likely a perp.***
Why do you think that someone in this area is very likely the perp Firecat?
I know I've mentioned this before but like many other things I've said it gets totally ignored so I'll say it again.
Rt 112 is the main route from 91 in Wells River to the Loon Mountain ski area. Many out of staters from MA, CT, NJ etc. use this route to go skiing and go to their condos.
Why can't it be possible that someone from outside this area could be the perp if there even is a perp?

You are wrong. They haven't been just scrutinized, they have been slandered, libeled and their reputations dragged thru the mud.For trying to help someone!!!
I think if it was your name on a public forum being accused of something you didn't do, called nasty names and having your name dragged thru the mud you might understand a little better why people have an impression that there's a mindset.

2004 or 2009 there was and still is not much of a signal here for cell phones. Much less in 2004 and not many people had them in this area so it is very likely that the officer did not have a cell phone since it would be of no use most of the time.
