Who needs a lie detector test, who won't buck up as you say? Only one I know who refused is CW.

Judged: 2 E-Biomed: The Journal of Regenerative Medicine e-biomed: the journal of regenerative medicine... will focus on a unique approach to healing - using the body's own stem cells and growth factors to repair organs, tissues, and cells. "The implications of renewing body tissues with the help of natural signals that control its growth are enormous," said the Journal's editor-in-chief, William A. Haseltine, Ph.D., who has coined the term "regenerative medicine" to signify this promising new area of research endeavor. "As we understand the body's repair process at the genetic level," Dr. Haseltine said, "we will be able to advance the goal of maintaining our bodies in normal function, perhaps PERPETUALLY." The content of the Journal will include papers on biocompatible materials, bioinformatics, cell biology, cloning, embryology, gene therapy, genomics, organogenesis, stem cell biology, transplantation biology, and transplantation medicine. ********** FROM: http://www.liebertpub.com/about.aspx BioConferences International, Inc. is the conference arm of the company [Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., publisher of Journal of Regenerative Medicine]; we program and present annual symposia in biotechnology, women's health, ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE, ethics, financial services, and law. ********** FROM: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2002/... The video in which the Bishes endorsed the Search and Rescue group was made by Limulus Productions (as in regenerative). 2. The second $60,000 contribution to the Molly Bish Reward Fund came from the beneficiary of a company, Freeze Holdings, which is the parent of Millennium Partners, which is/was a major holder of the company that retained, for a fee, John Regan's lawyer shortly after Regan pleaded guilty in the attempted abduction of a track star from Saratoga Springs High School. 3. Stemcells, Inc. is also the subsidiary of Millennium Partners. And that's just a few of the connections that involve regenerative medicine or references to the subject. |

Judged: 1 1 http://www.masslive.com/ news/index.ssf/2009/01/ detectives_in_molly_bish_case. html A man accused of the stabbing death of his girlfriend in Florida has been questioned by police investigating the 2000 slaying of 16-year-old Molly Anne Bish, of Warren. A private detective hired by the Bish family said that the man lived in Warren at the time of the girl's abduction, a family member has said. However, a spokesman for the Worcester County district attorney characterized the lead simply as one of hundreds probed by detectives working on the case. Timothy J. Connolly, a spokesman for District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., said that a tip was received about former Warren and Southbridge resident Rodney A. Stanger, 60, of Summerfield, Fla., who is currently being held on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the death of his girlfriend of 25 years. "This Stanger individual came to us as a tip, and it was investigated, as we do with all tips," said Connolly. "We decided it was worth a trip to Florida to interview him." Stanger, who is not now being identified by authorities as a suspect, was interviewed during the past year, but Connolly said he did not know exactly when. The tip about Stanger was one of hundreds received about the Bish case, which is actively being investigated by detectives. "We get a tip almost every day," Connolly said. He said the DA's office did not seek out publicity about the interview with Stanger. "This isn't a story we sought to put out there. We're responding to a news report," he said. ********** FROM: http://www.cbs3springfield.com/ news/local/9043062.html Police arrested the man they say tried to grab a female jogger in Brimfield. Now questions are being raised about Robert Burno Junior's resemblance to a suspect sought in the disappearance and murder of Molly Bish. Bish was last seen just one town over, in Warren, before she vanished seven years ago. Burno was arrested and arraigned in Dudley, charged with annoying and accosting and assault with a dangerous weapon after, police say, he tried to pin a young female jogger against this guardrail on Little Alum Road in Brimfield with his car. Neighbors on the road can rest easy, now that Burno's been caught. "I'd go right back to my own, my old ways, I wouldn't be worried about it," said Little Alum Rd resident, Pam Avallone. But Molly Bish's mother, Magi Bish, said Burno resembles a man she saw lurking in the pond parking lot the day before Molly's disappearance, "All I can say truthfully just from seeing that picture us that he does bear resemblance and that it's scary." Molly Bish's remains were found three years later, but the case has never been solved. "Certainly our hope is that in the end, there's justice for Molly, but, you know, again we've had to travel this road where we just aren't really sure, but again those similarities just make one nervous and anxious," Magi Bish said. The Worcester County District Attorney's office said investigators have been looking into Burno's possible connection with the Bish case for a week before his arrest. While Magi Bish said she's not sure what will happen with Burno, she holds out hope of getting justice for Molly, "I don't think the police are going to give up and we won't give up. As hard as that is, I don't think we'll ever stop hoping and and feeling that Molly needs justice for what's happened to her...we miss her every single day." Burno will be arraigned in Palmer on the same charges, since the warrants for his arrest originate from that court. He'll then be arraigned in Springfield on separate assault charges, stemming from an older case. ********** The second story was published August 8, 2007. |

Beagle,

Judged: 1 1 The first donation of $40,000 was assembled from three donors by a fourth donor whose close relative was an employee of Carl Lindner, Jr. Lindner, a far right wing billionaire and abortion foe, is close friends with Massachusetts businessman Raymond Ruddy, a loyal Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) alumnus, outspoken opponent of abortion and embryonic stem cell research, and particular opponent of Advanced Cell Technology (ACT). Few have steadfastly opposed abortion as loudly and substantially (with money) as Raymond Ruddy. The second donation (or pledge) of $60,000 was made by S. Prestley Blake. Blake was basically the "friendly" face put on the takeover of what was formerly Blake's Friendly Ice Cream by Freeze Holdings (aka Sun Capital). Curiously, a foundation of Mr. Lindner's has a financial stake in ACT. One of Freeze's subsidiaries, through SunCap, is Millennium Partners, which owns Stemcells, Inc. The research of Stemcells, Inc. is primarily based on adult stem cells, not embryonic stem cells. Therefore, the research of Stemcells, Inc. is more compatible with the position of the Roman Catholic Church. Few companies, however, have felt the wrath of the Catholic Church as much as ACT. ACT was founded by former UMass professor James Robl in cooperation with UMass and Avian Farms, a poultry company based in Waterville, ME. UMass has or had a Material Tranfer Agreement with both ACT and its spin-off, Hematech. There is no doubt in my mind that Rockefeller money is behind ACT. The indications are very strong. The Worcester County DA, James Early, Jr., is not likely to admit that a star-studded research company like ACT might be the beneficiary, knowingly or unknowingly, of eggs harvested from a murder victim. And neither is UMass. Read this again, by Ron Green as quoted by Stephen S. Hall in his book Merchants of Immortality. "We could go to one woman, harvest 10,000 eggs, and do all the research that anybody wanted with a single, or even a CADAVERED, donation of eggs." [emphasis mine] Green was, at the time, head of ACT's Ethics Advisory Board. If HE believed something like this, how might some self-appointed foot soldier in the battle for progress in regenerative medicine, or a seeker of immortality, believe? And how might he act on those beliefs? |

Judged: 1 1 "We could go to one woman, harvest 10,000 eggs, and do all the research that anybody wanted with a single, or even a CADAVERED, donation of eggs." [emphasis mine] If a harvest of approximately 10 eggs was fetching about $5,000 at the time, then what would 10,000 eggs from one woman be worth? What's 10,000 times 5,000? FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS? One dead woman's eggs are worth $50,000,000???? That's plenty of incentive for someone to try. There was a mobile unit cruising the roads of western and central Massachusetts, at the time of Bish's disappearance, looking for human eggs. There were advertisements in the Boston Globe. And there was somone, other than the man in Florida, in a unique position to abduct Molly Bish. Maybe the Florida man is guilty, maybe not. The Bish investigation has certainly been there before. After 8 years, maybe it's time for a fresh look at alternative explanations for Molly Bish's death. And for the disappearance of Maura Murray. |

Never mind Beagle, I actually googled. Not good at this stuff.

Judged: 1 1 1 UMass has, or recently had, a substantial financial interest in the field of Embryonic Stem Cell Research (ESCR). Two of the nation's leading ESCR companies have a very interesting connection to an office basically across the street from where Maura Murray lived at SW - the same office that owned the school bus company and employed the bus driver (Haverhill NH). Much of the basic and originating embryonic stem cell research was done at or in close association with the University of Massachusetts. I don't believe that UMass has a big incentive to find out what really happened to Maura Murray. In fact, I believe that some figures at or closely associated with UMass have a substantial interest in making sure no one ever knows what happened to Maura Murray. I believe that the UMass Police Department is not the right agency to investigate Murray's disappearance. There is just too great a potential for a conflict of interest. The UMass PD should rid itself of even that appearance by handing over the Murray investigation to a more independent agency or task force. |

Judged: 1 1 1 It started out to cure one disease - aging. That's right. Michael D. West (formerly of Geron and ACT) believed that life could at least be advanced much further than the average seventy something years. Two hundred years seemed like a reasonable first step. The theoretical groundwork on aging and disease - immortality, really - was already being laid at least as early as 1934. Much of it, probably the biggest part, was funded by the Rockefeller family. And the search for immortality, especially if it seems so scientifically close, will not always bring out the most ethical behavior in people. And neither will the effort to oppose it. |
