Watching --- I guess I interpreted it that way because it sounded that way; that we'd never know stuff about her background, and that whether she was drinking was moot. You might be right, but my impression is that drinking can help a person be impulsive, make poorer decisions, cause them to be inattentive to trouble brewing, not be as aware of their environment, exaggerate depression, make them want to avoid LE, and other stuff. Maybe you're right that IF she was "successfully" abducted it would be moot. No-one has been allowed to show us any evidence of an abduction, although from what the PIs say, there IS evidence, but it isn't being released. May be true or maybe not. Then why have a forum for tossing around ideas except to fish for the perp or someone who knows the perp? Ah....

Hey TeagleTart,
Has anyone begun working on the two lists mentioned many pages ago?(1) A list of the plain proven FACTS of this case, and (2) A list of what's acceptable to talk about here without getting slammed? I know of 2 (3, incuding me!) posters who have been "jumped on", 2 chased away -- one, I guess, being Wowser, who announced leaving and who I wish would return.
quija, I feel your pain, but oft times your meanest critics are actually your best friends - in a sense.

Topix is, after all, a public forum, so the Miscavige/LC-MS/Emergent style contingents have as much a right to post here as anyone else. In fact, the more they post, the more we see the Emperor's new clothes. I wouldn't worry about the petty remarks and catty insults. Sticking to the story, whether it conforms to or deviates from an old party line, is all that matters. If you get slammed, it just means you've hit a nerve. Slamming reveals a lot about the slammer.

And it also, whether we like it or not, helps keep us honest.

Hang in there, quija, it's just a turbulent venue. Go ahead, speak your mind. That's what it's all about. Don't let yourself get sidetracked by snickering, innuendo, and the rest of this junior high school stuff. It comes with the territory, I'm afraid. Just move on to the next post that addresses an issue you're interested in.

And yes, where is Wowser? Wowser, come back.

Do not attach what someone else said to me.
My words here:
Look at every theory inside and out.
What I state about few known facts is fact no matter which way you twist it.

Look at these statements:

Maura was drunk when she disappeared.
(We don't know)
Maura was sober when she disappeared.
(We don't know)
Drunk Maura took a ride with a stranger
Sober Maura took a ride with a stranger
Drunk Maura was abducted
Sober Maura was abducted
Drunk Maura fled on foot and died of hypothermia
Sober Maura fled on foot and died of hypothermia
I ask you to show me where the word drunk matters. This is what I am saying. There are no lines to read between.

Anybody who thinks that IF Maura were drunk that this would have been of no consequence is living in a dreamworld.

Why did Maura, who was described by her fiance as being "extremely frugal," stop to buy alcohol in the state of Massachusetts when she was driving towards the state of New Hampshire where the price of booze is so much cheaper?

Who would suggest that a drunk woman would not attract the attention of a serial killer whom we know are all cowards of the first degree? Remember, they hunt those who are unaware that they are being hunted.

There was a report early on from some unidentified source (Atwood swears that it wasn't him)that the girl in the car seemed drunk?

There was a report that there was a bottle that had the smell of alcohol at the site of the crash.

Totally a valid point.

Stand back a little and anyone not themselves steeped in a culture of booze can see that alcohol is all over this case. So much so that drinking and drunkenness even pervaded much of the posting on the MMM site.

Maura, not even 21 years old, was known to drink at breakfast and lunch. But it was okay because it was only a little. She was never drunk.

That being said, it is also true that Maura's being drunk did not CAUSE an abduction, if there was one. On the other hand, it is totally irresponsible to say that her alcohol use could not have CONTRIBUTED to her fate in a way that would help find her or what happened to her.

It might even explain why Vasi was hit.

quija, Did you think either you or I was getting slammed? Slamming is a good thing. I look forward to it. It often tells me I am going in the right direction. They get prickly mainly when you start looking in sensitive places. Slamming is a kind of validation. It's like GPS.

Oh, just one more thing. The accident scene was visible from an art gallery.

I mean the Vasi hit-and-run scene was visible from a gallery. Or more accurately, the Birthright office immediately next to the gallery. The Birthright, Inc. of Amherst so intimately connected to the LAOS gallery right next door. Not that it means anything. Unless, of course, the mystery gallery is The Amherst Gallery, owned by Michelson's? Which gallery is the mystery gallery? LAOS? Michelson's? Another gallery? Surely, that answer is known. It is a fact, isn't it?

Claysoup, aka BeagleBart there you go again.......... You can find a conspiracy in your underwear. Accusing me of getting prickly because you're getting into sensitive places.

So, in between her security shift at 12:30am Maura was getting an abortion, conveniently next to the gallery she may have worked and , hit Vasi, then returned crying from having an abortion and then thinking she killed her hit and run victim, fell to pieces. Did contributors to the Molly Bish foundation also donate to the Birthright? Shhhhh, someone's listening.......

You were lucid for a time anyway

Whiston has got diddly squat for his heroic efforts. There's no reason at least some of his questions could not have been answered by now. But ommissions are often as informative as any other answer.

In addition to the gallery... Exactly what role is being played by the Connecticut Parrotheads? Yup, that's right. The Jimmy Buffett fan club.

Why is Danny Smith involved? To what extent is the Vidocq Society involved? To what extent is an Amherst architectural firm involved? And an Amherst musical instrument store?

There are a lot of things Amherst that are important here.

Just as an example, why not search places along the Connecticut river a little west of Amherst? Why not search for Maura in the Amherst vicinity as well as in Haverhill. Maybe Maura bought the alcohol to drink with someone locally and that's why she was never seen again.

Maybe Maura is just waiting out the clock on the statue of limitations. There's just no way of knowing what's actually going on if Amherst is such a mystery.

Exactly where was I lucid? At the Rt. 112 crash scene? But not in Amherst? Was I lucid when talking about calls to the ICU?

Watching, you have much wisdom. Please show me the way to correct thinking on this subject.
