Per Beagles suggestion, plan to drive the presumed path of the car from Amherst, just to have it in my head. Would like to find out particulars of where Kennedy is, where the ATM is, where the liquor store is. I will share whatever what I learn or theorize. Oh....John. I wanted to alert you of this and have been wanting to do so ever since Beagle suggested you do this. You need to be aware that several posters and/or members of the Murray family have been followed as they drive near the accident scene on Route 112. So be prepared to get tailed. It might not happen--you might get lucky--but it's something....ahem.....of which you should be aware, not to perpetuate any grammatical misconceptions scooterD!

Some particular obsession with my theories that causes you to get desperate enough to tell me to shut up? This is Topix. It's an open, relatively unmoderated discussion board (or thread). If you don't like what you're reading, then why spend so much time attacking it? Why not just ignore it? Can't ignore it? How come? I have no plans to shut up until someone decides to make me shut me up permanently. Oh god where's my duct tape?

EWB, thanks for your reply, I appreciate that. I talked with the firecat today too and all's well. I have asked people not to email personal info to me and that's what she was referring to I guess. I am just tired of the net, the web and the raid. But never tired of Maura

Well, again, thank you all for all your help. You have no idea great you all are. You all are a true inspiration. Best wishes in your search for Maura and what happened. I really do wish you the best of luck. You all are a very dedicated bunch of people who care very deeply about seeing this case resolved and Maura brought home. Thank you for your hard work.

Wikipedia: "Unlike many of his allies on the U.S. political right,[Paul] Weyrich had a long history of ardent support for rail mass transit, although like those allies, he opposed bus transit[1]. FCF publishes a newsletter on trolley and rail systems entitled, The (New) New Electric Railway Journal, and Weyrich wrote numerous op-ed columns in favor of proposed light rail and metro systems. He also served on the national board of Amtrak and the Amtrak Reform Council, as well as on local and regional rail transit advocacy organizations."

Maybe you should avoid going to Amherst, Massachusetts at all. It will just be a waste of time and money. You probably won't see anything worthwhile anywhere in Massachusetts at all. I am completely unworried about being followed. Even if someone were for some reason monitoring this forum and were planning to find me and track me, they would have no idea when I was getting there within the window of time I identified (I don't know when it would be yet) nor would they have any idea who I am in terms of appearance, etc., or why my car would look like. In short, the possibility that someone would want to follow me seems remote, the feasibility of so doing should someone intend to seems nil. The reason I am going to follow Beagle's suggestion and start in Amherst is that I find it easier to mentally grapple with situations I can visualize. But I wont waste the time if I cannot find out where the liquor store and ATM are. That said, I don't have some far fetched idea that I am going to find clues. Just a place to go for a couple of days. Plus I have friends up there (in New England).

http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.d... February 10, 2009 (Computerworld) The First Amendment protects the right to free speech and anonymous free speech. But it doesn't offer the right to libel someone, anonymously or otherwise. http://www.pcworld.com/article/159393/online_... Reminder: Anonymity is not immunity The lawsuit serves as reminder that online anonymity does not automatically provide immunity against libel charges, said Eugene Volokh, professor of law at the University of California at Los Angeles' School of Law. While the First Amendment provides protections for free speech, "not all categories of speech are protected, libel for instance," Volokh said. "While people have the right to say things anonymously, if someone sues them of libel, then a court may order others to turn over information about them," Volokh said. "The First Amendment does not prevent the use of judicial processes to uncover the identities of speakers" in cases where libel is suspected. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2009/...

FireCat, This is the first time that I have read about people actually being followed on Rte 112. Would you possibly care to elaborate somewhat on this subject? I´m just wondering how on earth it would be practically possible for that kind of "surveillance" to be carried out on a stretch of public road. Any ideas at all as for who the "culprits" could be?

I have heard these complaints before which on their face seem ridiculous. Apparently people aren’t aware that if you are traveling between Haverhill and Lincoln there really is no other way to go. And there are very few side roads most of which only go to even more obscure locations than Lincoln and Haverhill. So if you have a tendency to go slow you are bound to get a shadow, to use scary language. There is 112 and, oh yeah, only 112 and no real other way to get from east to west and back in that area. So if you have a tendency towards paranoia and think that every car that is behind you for more than 5 minutes is hunting you then stay off of 112 for its almost 50 miles total. And God help you if you go on 112 from Lincoln to Conway (the Kanc) in the winter because that will be 25 miles of pure paranoia hell. The only road on that entire section of highway is closed in the winter so you are assured to get tails on that road that you won’t be able to shake. In short the concept that people in Haverhill are tailing outsiders is ridiculous. I have been in that area driving all around looking at things, more than once, and never felt like I was being watched and I have out of state tags and moved very slowly at areas near the crash site and barn as well as some of the side roads. I have seen people behind me when traveling 112? You bet, in both directions. When we got to the areas we were headed, they went their way and I went mine. Damn, and I was so hoping for a James Bond type moment.

Again.......... the call was stated as incoming - that has to do with the "caller" not Maura. You can look online and see that I do know this. It is really frustrating because this is one fact that I know is not accurate.

Wowzer I don't know if you post is directed at me. Le would already know who has had access to the court house? Right ? I would think when that info was put out on a thread they would have addressed ASAP. Right?.. I would guess that they actually browse this thread every now and then. There for they would already be aware if information was leaked. Right ???

"the entire basis of your thought process revolves around the fact that you think other people are stupid and they are somehow unable to read you and your true motivations." Prime example of paranoid schizophrenia. That is the straight stuff oh funkmaster. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/...
