Is this forum about the fact that Maura is missing or about personalities? Let's get back on track everyone. Living in North Country I am concerned about the lack of solving crimes up here. I really feel that Maura met with an untimely death and we need to figure out who did it. Let's get over the personalities and get back on the subject. Just my opinion...god bless her and her poor family.

"By Margaret's recollection, the nurses were often prey to the nighttime entreaties and assaults of drugged and delirious patients, a daunting assignment under any circumstances, and a particularly harsh burden, perhaps, to a young woman wary of a hard-drinking and temperamental father."

"Despite this situation she was photographed in the candy-striped uniform of the training nurse, looking frail but cheerful. There were also occasional outings with suitors, including a weekend visit in June of 1902 with Corey Albertson of Claverack, whom she described elusively in a letter [to her sister] as "the same old boy." The two young people apparently had a secret agreement to marry, but Margaret wanted her nursing degree first..."

Hey Firecat, I've taken my glasses off, washed and dried them, put them back on and I still can't see any capital letters in Suzanne's post which would be be actual yelling in cyber language. Cripes she doesn't even let loose with a PFFFFFFTTTTTTT!!!!!
What am I missing here? Oh another thing, why is it that think you must answer for everyone?
I meant "yelling" in the figurative sense.

The only person I have to answer for is myself.

I believe it was a poster who stated that others in the area of the accident would not join as it was entertaining just following the forum. That is what I meant in my above post.
It's true...people have posted long enough to say that and then returned into lurkdom....

Having read your other post, it does clarify your earlier comment. But none of the people who posted that it was "entertaining" to read the forum were at the meeting Shack attended. So, no. That wasn't to whom Shack was referring.

I'm still laughing at Beagle's comment about covering your back if it's not too hairy. It took me a minute, but I got there.

Shack..While you are here. Would you say to me that I can trust Det. C with anything I say to him and he will keep it to himself and not on any forums. He can tell other PI's. I believe they may know one thing which I would hope for an answer but not the second question I need to ask. I believe you.

Sorry, no, I don't. Yet. Do you? I know MS had tuberculosis. Did she or someone she knew ever visit the Bethlehem area, where I think there were one or more tuberculosis sanitariums? Or wasn't there one in Haverhill?

It made me think of the nurses that seemed to comprise so many of the victims of the so-called Connecticut River serial killer. Did they have something to do with abortions or some kind of medical study?

FC, It was not at the meeting up north but here on the forum before that meeting took place. I remember Anne asking I believe to be WW to have the locals join the forum and that is what they stated,

Anne, sorry if it was not you. need to find the post.

Perhaps I will get blasted. I don't care. I didn't say it....and, I didn't like
hearing it. Certainly it was said in frustration. BUT..here we are still...waiting for
something or someone to help find Maura.

Gvmeabrk, Yes, I do trust Det.C. He was "on the
trail" so to speak....trying to help the Murray
family BEFORE the first Forum started in
November 2004. He is truly working on it.

And, with a bit of levity...the price(fee)
is right..he and Weeper are doing the best they can.
