If not, then it should take only 2-6 weeks to solve. There are only about a half dozen people who can make the list of possible suspects.

Thanks Shack! |

We all know DC posted it. And we all know no one has been able to confirm the actual event. Kind of a trend in this case. That's what I'm saying. |

Remember me? Oh how my legs did fail me.

Maura would probably not have left Joseph and some other important items in the car if she knew it was going to be crushed.
Snowy might have been making a good point about the cell phone service, etc. Just a guess here... Maura never saw the Vermont line. I would guess that if she was killed, it happened in the Amherst area, possibly near SW or just on the other side of the Connecticut River. I would guess that if she was disposed of - if she was killed or died in an inconvenient way (drug OD)- then her body was disposed of between the Coolidge Bridge and North King St. Just a guess. |

Maybe Northland? |
||||
Elsewhere..ya beat me to it...geesh..!
I thought that Northland might have been dispatched to the first call that Anne heard.... (left in private vehicle...) not noted in Log, and then Lavoies was called for the 2nd call ...the one that is noted in Log..... I am sure that all employees of both businesses have been interviewed and that are "witness reports/statements" in those Murray folders at filed in a drawer at HPD. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Say you're walking home from a failed attempt to get a pickup game of softball going. You stop at the local pub on your walk home, leave it, take a short cut, find a dead person on the way who was beaten with a baseball bat like the one you're carrying... Well, there's a lot of people who would either report that body being there anonymously or not report it at all. A few years ago in a town near the Vermont line, a couple of young brothers were out hunting and accidentally shot a guy picking blueberries. They could have called for help but decided against it because they were afraid they would go to jail for more or less deliberately shooting the guy. So they left the gun shot victim to die when, if they had called an ambulance, he probably would have lived. One of the brothers broke down later and told a relative who told police and it was all over. They victim died unnecessarily and the shooters didn't get much of a sentence. So it's not necessarily true that Maura was killed even if the car was driven secretly to Haverhill for diversionary reasons. |

Judged: 1 1 I noticed that with few exceptions all of the victims of the unsolved homicides were found close to I-93 and I-91 with clusters in Hartford, Claremont, Newport, and Manchester. The rest were found near major highways. Also seems like a disproportionally high number of victims were stabbed to death. I would expect to see more homicides and more unsolved homicides in the vicinity of the more populated areas like Manchester. I don't know what the population is in Hartford, Claremont, and Newport, but there appear to be too many red dots in those areas and they are close together. I would want to take a look at all of the cases, particularly the stabbings because there's a possibility that a serial killer might be cruising the interstate highways looking for potential victims. Judged: 4 4 3 ***I'm pretty sure the tone of this forum in the late is a perfect example of what I'm trying to convey.*** And what is it exactly that you are trying to convey besides the fact that you are obsessed with missing persons and unsolved homicides. You get downright ugly when someone reminds you that it's a 30+ year span that you are talking about. |

Judged: 2 2 1 President of the Forum Investigative Team. She put in the most time/mileage/photos to help solve this mysterious disappearance of Maura Murray. She thought that Maura might have easily got confused at the 91/89 interchange...missing 89, and continuing on 91..which would of course, bring Maura to Bradford, VT or Ryegate/Wells River, VT. While I am here, Mcsmom should be given "mileage" award...and Lady Gray (with one arm) Moderator Elect award...Helena's award, for survival. |

Judged: 2 2 2 So you're telling me that you EXPECT me, and anyone else for that matter, who is involved with this case to openly share each and every single detail that's been uncovered or discovered, irrespective of how damaging the release of said details may be? That's exactly what you're saying. Either you really believe that or you're simply trying to provoke a response out of me that divulges (perhaps) unique information. Rantings between the semi-retarded virgin (propaganda firetruck) and I work both ways - I was responding to him. And if you have no interest in them, why not just scroll on by? Why take the time out to point out the obvious? Whether or not you know of what I've done means absolutely nothing to me -*I* know what I've done, and I know my upcoming agenda for this case, and it's far more extensive than submitting posts on a forum. |

Mason or anyone else,
Can someone please elaborate/explain the Vasi theory or theories? I've heard different things, and I want to be clear on the details. Thank you. |

Judged: 2 2 2 The best description I can offer is 'cultish'...and a nearly obsessive concern about missing persons, in general. Beagle, a common though tragic possibility is the sudden/accidental death or overdose of a young person, as you've suggested, and a cover-up by peers. Interesting. |

Judged: 1 1 There are a variety of Vasi theories, each with different details. Basically, the overall theory - just speculation, like spaghetti thrown on the wall - means that the Saturn, driven by an unknown driver, hit Vasi, but the driver left the scene, which is obviously a violation. Officially, according to Amherst PD, Vasi was found at the intersection of Triangle and Mattoon. Technically, there are two places where those streets intersect, but since even local LE is unaware of this, it seems likely that Vasi was found closer to Main St than to N.,S., and/or E. Pleasant Streets. It is not known for sure that Vasi was struck by a vehicle. He was merely found unconscious. He was transported from the scene to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield early Friday AM where he remained in a coma for an unknown length of time - at least a couple of days, probably longer.(Ahem.) The connection between Maura's disappearance and the Vasi hit was initially brought up for obvious reasons, but shot down when Maura's supervisor was quoted, somewhere, that Maura could not have left work, driven the Saturn to where Vasi was found, and then returned to work undetected by the supervisor, who checked on her every 20-30 minutes. But if you actually know the area, you'll know that Maura could have walked (very fast) from Melville to where Vasi was found and back again in 20-30 minutes, let alone have driven there. If Maura's car was parked in Lot 12 Thursday night and no one else drove the Saturn that night, then that distance certainly makes it harder to go 1) from Melville to Lot 12 on foot, 2) to Triangle and Mattoon, and 3) back again in 20 minutes. But possible in 30 minutes. But there are good reasons to believe that Maura may not have been fully living in her dorm room in Kennedy. Given all the circustances, she may have been staying, somewhat informally, at an off-campus location not far from the SW dorm cluster. If she was spending considerable time at this off-campus location, then that's quite possibly where the Saturn was parked and used by someone else at that location. Or the Saturn may have been parked very near Melville or Kennedy or at least within the SW area and thus much more accessible than if it was parked in Lot 12. According to one expert familiar with the case, there are good reasons to believe the Saturn was involved in two collisions - one with a pedestrian or large animal, and another with a solid object like a trailer hitch, ICC bar (trailer truck), snow plow, etc. |

Close. His classic response was, "Because that's where the money is." Kind of like, interstates are near where the people are, provide easy access, and good heavens, often have exits located for the convenience not of a huge population but because a bridge crosses the Connecticut River near the exit. An Interstate Killer is like an interstate motorists. People are more likely to drive their cars where cars are driven than not driver. By definition, if that means anything any more to the Gown crowd. You cover the north, I'll cover the south. Maybe we can get this disappearance figured out yet. |
