Has anyone ever reviewed the transcripts to Shelia Lebarre's trial?

I reviewed the witness list and was surprised to see 140 names listed.

One of which was a septic company.

I always wondered if the CW's refusal to have his property searched revolved around the fact that he was doing work without obtaining the proper permits.

This happens more often than people might realize.

Well enough about the poor guy, his name has been dragged through the mud enough already.

EWB, i read and/or hear about these murders/trails...and it's become unavoidable to note that you and several others seem to follow these crimes, nationwide, with such interest and delve into details.

forgive me if i ask, with all sincerity, if you are in the majority for having an interest in, and/or scrutinizing details...
or
if i am in the minority for not following with this level of intensity?

is it about the psychic connection?

i find this unusual.

Maybe others have a problem because YOU keep bringing the crap up out of the blue long after it's been forgotten and then blame others for starting it.
Since this is a public forum and you keep posting it publicly that makes it everyone's business.
Everyone can make their own choice if they want to chance you tracking their IP addy or not by e-mailing you. You said it so now deal with it.
Now for God's sake will you forget about it and stop bringing it up. It's getting way beyond annoying.
I am actually starting to like you now. Agreed. WW and I put our differences behind us. Hopefully we will too. Thanks

The Moon entered Libra on March 11th at approximately 2:30 pm EDT. I'm not certain at what time it became a full moon, but if it was before 2:30 pm EDT, it was in Virgo. If after 2:30, it was in Libra.
Virgo is a mutable Earth sign characterized by practical, organized, efficient, and adaptable behavior. Virgos exceed in the details and Moon in Virgo derives emotional satisfaction and self-assurance from getting the details right.
Basically they are a pain in the ass, but the rest of us can't function very well without them. At their best, they are the glue that keeps the world from flying apart. At their worst, they are hypercritical and picky-picky.
A disproportionately large percentage of people in the medical professions are Virgos because they like to be of service to others.
Full Moon in Virgo would influence people to look at their surroundings and projects, evaluate, and organize them.
Libra is a cardinal air sign. Great ideas related to beauty, balance, and harmony, but poor finishers. Prefer to do things in groups and do not enjoy being alone. Moon in Libra derives emotional security from seeing all sides of an issue, assisting others to understand and appreciate differences of opinion and living in equality and harmony with others.
Full Moon in Libra feels an urge to find a balance point in life to feel at peace and wants others to do the same. Gets pissed off when they don't.
I think we had a full moon (i.e., when events come to fruition) in Libra. At least that's the way it felt to me and the comments show more than a wee bit of a trace of impatience with others whom the commenter believes just don't get it.
Or,as ooOOoo put it, "we all need to lighten up."
As The Lord said, "Go forth and multiply."
Whereupon Beagle said, "What about the square root of minus one?"

Technically, in the world of astrology, the moon was in Virgo. Moon in Libra is next month.

Again you are only stating hear say!
You have not stated one thing that can
be viewed as fact!
Example in article Atwood "states he is a
former police officer.
All information only repeated as gossip!
elsewherebriefly wrote:
O.K. let me see here.
The SBD stated to a Massachusetts reporter that he was a former police officer. Said reporter conducted a background check on SBD in an effort to provide an accurate and factual article and found that he was never a police officer. I read her direct statements and given she was simply checking her facts, the dude lied! Lying about being a former police officer none the less!!
When the construction worker was questioned by NHSP ten days after Maura's disappearance he stated he saw nothing. A few months later he was overheard telling someone he saw someone running approximately 3-5 miles from the crash site and this good Samaritan did the right thing by reporting the construction worker's statement to the authorities. He was questioned and provided a formal statement to NHSP. He refused to have his property searched which seemed a bit odd because everyone else obliged. NHSP did find enough PROBABLE CAUSE to search his trailer at some point.
Pike. Hmm, he was the one who said that the area around the Weathered Barn was too populated for Maura to be victim of a crime of opportunity. That's when I stopped reading his highly intelligent and sensitive postings. However, I did catch his snide statement about someone coming to pick up his fat ass in Boston because he didn't own a vehicle.
I never made any statements about the SBD or the CW or anyone else until now.
I am a native of New Hampshire and I am witness to a grave injustice. Sorry folks, I am not gong anywhere and my family will continue to own property and pay taxes in New Hampshire for many generations to come. Given that I am 1000 miles away I am forced to look at the larger picture of things. Off the top of my head Troop F and Grafton County have dropped the ball on (2) prior investigations re: the Dow Murders and Gary Westover's death bed confession re: Barbara Agnew. In both of these cases witnesses were turned away so said witnesses went public. In the case of the Dow Murders Troop F was found guilty in a formal investigation of a cover-up. Google HB-1499 and see for yourself!
Suzanne, You forgot to add Governor Benson & Governor Lynch as well as the Attorney General's office and the Manchester Union Leader to your list. Although I am not a member of FIT I do not appreciate how they've regarded Maura's investigation.
I cannot believe I read through several pages of petty fricken bull shit.
Sophie Bean, I am sorry I walked away from the computer after my last post to you and JMLH yesterday. I am thankful to Bill for being a true gentleman and sticking up for you the way he did.
JMLH, You've done the right thing. The information you've provided is of great value. I have spoken to friends down here in LE and we all agree that it sure would be great if more victims such as yourself came forward with information that could possibly aid in solving cold cases. Bless you!
I will say that over on MMM we spoke very little about ourselves and tried to remain focused on Maura. I can't say that about a lot of people on this forum. They feel the need to talk about themselves or other posters on this forum. Talk about ad nauseum!
NHSP & the licensed Private Detectives investigating Maura's case seem focused on Grafton County. Pick us apart all you want but this should tell you folks something.
Until NHSP accepts the aid of the FBI the focus will remain in New Hampshire!

Just for the record this IS IN CORRECT since I heard it directly from someone involved.
CW told a neighbor what he thought he saw someone running around that time frame. The neighbor
took him about the date and he checked his records and they where the same night!
This neighbor told the Store Owner who was relaying every piece of information to Fred!
So she picked up the phone and called Fred and
told him!
And CW did contact NHSP himself but by that point
Fred was in his face w/the PI's and it instead
of letting LE handle it well you got people
refusing PI's searches!
Does not mean that CW has not been help NHSP!

This is just ONE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT are misleading about this case!

This post will be in two parts.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate for CW.
Consider this a work of fiction because I have no idea whether it's true. Let's say his name is Rufus.

Rufus is lonely and lacks self-confidence. Everyone has been talking about a beautiful young woman, a college student who disappeared recently after losing control of her vehicle and slamming into a snowbank on Wild Ammonoosuc Road a little over 100 yards from his home.

Most people think she was drunk and left the scene before the cops arrived to avoid being arrested for DUI.

Some think she walked off into the wilderness and died from exposure.

Others think a bad guy abducted, raped, and killed her.

A few think she was running from trouble and walked or caught a ride to North Woodstock or Lincoln and kept hitching rides until she found a new place she liked and decided to settle there and start a new life with a new identity.

Rufus likes the the third option because it's romantic, courageous, and something he's fantasized about doing but never had the courage to try.

He listens to people arguing and he realizes that he can get everyone's attention, if he says he saw her when he was driving home after working in Franconia. He doesn't see any harm in telling his little lie because it won't change anything if the girl is dead and, if she's alive, she's had enough time to make it to just about anywhere. Since nobody can prove he's lying, he doesn't risk getting in trouble with the cops, so why not do it? He's not the smartest guy in the world and he doesn't consider the possibility that his lie might help someone get away with murder. Even if he is aware of that possibility, he denies it because his desire for 15 minutes of fame is more important to him. He decides to be somewhat vague about describing the non-existent person, so that he has an out if the girl turns up dead.

Part 2

Here's Option A:

Rufus tosses down a shot, chases it with a gulp of Bud Lite, gathers his courage, takes a deep breath, and speaks up.

"I'm pretty sure I saw the girl the other night when I was driving home from Franconia."

"Bullshit, Rufus."

"No, I'm serious. She was dressed in dark clothes and a hooded sweatshirt or jacket and running up the road toward me. She ducked into the woods before I got to where she was at. I just kept driving on down the road. Didn't think much about it. But I ain't seen nobody else running the road that time of night before or since. Had to be her."

"Liar, why didn't you tell the cops?

"I thought the girl went missing a different night. Now, I know it was the same night."

"Tell you what, Rufus. I'll buy you a beer and let's sit and talk about this. Okay by you?"

"Sure."

**********

Option A-1 is a slight modification of A in which the lie is motivated by his desire to impress a female that he desires to bed for the evening.

**********

There's also Option B to consider. The SBD is his friend and the SBD is getting roasted for what he did and didn't do that night. Worse, a lot of folks think he had something to do with her disappearance. His friend is worried sick and sweating a possible arrest. Rufus decides to help him out.

**********

Option C is a combination of A or A-1 and B.

**********

Any of these stories is possible, isn't it? I know I've theorized that he would have arrived home in the middle of the hullabaloo and could not have failed to notice it, if he left work in Franconia at 7 pm. However, if he delayed his departure from Franconia for any reason and took Bradley Hill Road, he could have turned into his driveway, parked, and entered his trailer without noticing anything.

He also may have told the truth.

His refusal to consent to a search of his trailer should not be regarded as evidence of guilt because he had a Fourth Amendment right to refuse and he has no obligation or duty to explain why he refused.

Let's say, for example, that he had a little indoor marijuana grow operation going on so he didn't have to buy his own dope and he could make a little extra money selling some of it to his friends. If that's true, and I have no reason to believe it is, he wouldn't be any different than several million other non-violent people in this country, and he certainly would have had an excellent reason to refuse consent.

Even if he didn't have a reason, however, he didn't need one and no one should forget that because it's the law and always has been since the earliest days of our republic.

Toss in the presumption of innocence and I doubt that a jury would convict him of intentionally obstructing a criminal investigation or giving a false statement to a police official.

Within a few minutes, a school bus driven by Butch Atwood stopped alongside Murray's vehicle. Atwood, who told reporters he is a former police officer, asked Murray if she was okay and if she wanted him to alert local police. Murray, according to Atwood, said that she was fine and that she had already used her cell phone to call AAA for assistance.

"I'm irritated beyond irritation,'' Atwood said. "I only tried to help her. It hurts.''

A former Taunton, Mass. police officer, Atwood and his wife moved to New Hampshire in 1984. Because of his police background, Atwood said he has always been kind to stranded motorists.

And this is for whiston; hopefully it should allay his concerns about the BOL and Maura's clothing and backpack:
At noon the next day. Tuesday, Feb. 10, police issued a "BOL" (Be on the Lookout) for Maura Murray. She was described as wearing a dark coat, with black hair hanging past her shoulders, standing five feet, three inches tall, and weighing 120 pounds. A subsequent report from Haverhill Police stated that Maura was last seen wearing jeans and corrected her height to be about five feet, seven inches tall, with brown shoulder length hair and blue eyes. Maura's cell phone was also missing from the scene and police reported she left with a black backpack.
From WH Express series Part 3

That info is also available on the Grafton County log, if you feel like wading through the 33+ pages to find it.

That's the thing that drives me battiest when watching Law & Order or CSI.....when they ask, "Do you mind if we have a look around?" and the answer is, "Sure, I've got nothing to hide." I have in fact been known to yell "Sure, I don't mind tossing my constitutional right out the window!" at the TV. People sometimes think that asking for a warrant is a sign of guilt or suspicion. Nope. It's a sign of someone who knows they have a right to protection against unnecessary search and seizure.

I know this has been said before..

Can someone answer did they search his trailer ?

I can see both sides of this. Search away - but it could be scary too if someone was to "plant" something........ too much CSI myself

White Wash, you are VERY MISTAKEN.

This 'incident' with the CW stating he saw someone running happened within 2-3 MONTHS of Maura's disappearance.

The Private Investigators with the Molly Bish Foundation were not involved in Maura's investigation in any way shape or form until about A YEAR AND A HALF after Maura's disappearance.

Please also note that Detective Columbo himself stated that he did not get involved in Maura's investigation for SEVERAL MONTHS after Maura's disappearance.

If you would like I'd be more than happy to search back for that particular post.

Hi firecat and all.How did LE know 'at noon the next day'when the BOL was issued ,what Maura was wearing and if she had a backpack or phone. At that time from what we have been told mrMurray was still unaware where the saturn was.I am going from memory here but sgt Smith did not hear back from umass Amherst until after mr Murray arrived in the evening on Feb.10.My point about the ATM video is if that was Maura why have we not been told what the person was wearing. As I understand the description of Mauras clothing it was a process of elimination after her clothing was gone through by her family. If I am wrong please correct me.take care philip
