Alright, forget that remark. Anyway time for the night crew to take over here! Keep on keepin on. it's pretty bad when we being to appear and disappear in shifts. FC's jokes sometimes go right over my head. they're awfully quiet there on the left coast. good nite, all.

Anne wrote: There have been many misconceptions of this forum but among the many, I never felt it was important to correct whomever was peeling an orange while watching the scene. It seemed silly given the overall tone. Paris, I do remember that someone was going to call for Maura so I believe when she said AAA had been notified that may have been correct. So are you saying Anne that the SBD was NOT the only person to stop and offer Maura help and someone else spoke to her and told her they would call for a tow truck? Am I missing something? All this time it's been stated that he was the only one to see her up close and talk to her and now there actually was someone else that talked to her? Is this correct or am I misunderstanding?

"getting back on track" is an expression i've heard many times. everything that happens here is very much "on track". Re: PC - You used the word homogeneity. In this age of multiculturalism it is a term that can in certain circles guarantee you some pretty negative feedback. This is why I so often just nod and smile and keep my mouth shut, one has to choose their battles. Helena was the ever present monitor. She vetted every post, my posts would have never been allowed on to the MMM forum. Actually I am remembering something I had totally forgotten, I did post ONCE (Helena must have gone to the bathroom or something) when Helena got back she apologized to the forum members for letting my post on. I was immediately erased.

Wowzer, There was mention of a woman stopping and maura asking her to call AAA. But I don't understand that either. No one seems to recall a car stopping and the comment seems to have come before the SBD came to call.
I tried to find it again, hours... and sometime maybe I'll try again. Some of those first newspaper reports had info to the right in a long, vertical splice (for lack of a better term).,. making it easy to miss. \<0_0>/

My criticism is far more serious. I thought the whole TOT thing was kind of juvenile but I would never criticize any one for it, people were enjoying it, nothing wrong with that.

I feel like telling this. The night I found out Beth was dead, I went home to a party in the works. I was showing a guest my treasured music box that mother had given me, but we did not lift or move it. When everyone left, I sat in candlelight and cried for my dear friend. I asked her to give me a sign.... The next morning I woke to the music box playing 5 or so notes and wrote it off as nothing but unusual. The morning after that, it played for me again. The day after that I came home mid day from work to find that the music box's, box, was on the floor. I asked my son, did you go into that room? Why is this box, for that music box on the floor, because it sat on the shelf, same place for over a year. I wondered all day, nah......couldn't be.... And in the middle of that night the stereo went off and it was playing a song by Seal, her favorite besides The logical song. I had to dash around the pitch black room, 2 am to shut the dang thing off. Please don't laugh, but I think it was a sign or one hell of a coincidence.

Ok and you can have some chocolate and wine, if Bartender Bob hasn't run out. I used to think it was juvenile too, because I can be such a square, trying to stay on the subject myself in a serious way. <:=[

Wowzer wrote: <quoted text> Why is it surprising or interesting? Just look what happened to the poor people that did get involved by trying to help her. That posted out of order. What I was responding to, what I found interesting, was all the weird, missing stuff on the police log. Not what my post immediately followed. Sorry I didn't quote....my computer's timestamp must have a problem, because frequently in the past couple of weeks, people have posted AFTER me and it's showed up BEFORE my post. Sorry if that confused you thoroughly. What I found interesting, again, was the weirdness in the sheriff's log. Stupid computers.....

paris wrote: Meanwhile, across the street, neighbor Virginia Marrotte was standing in her kitchen with her husband, John, who was peeling an orange. "From our kitchen window we saw a car down the road with trouble lights flashing and someone walking around the car," V. M. wrote in response to a set of questions sent for this series. John M told the same story to private investigator John Healy after the incident and added that he believed he saw Maura's car back up parallel to the road, indicated by the car's rear lights. While the M's were watching from their kitchen window they observed another neighbor arrive on the scene in a school bus. (from the Whitman and Hanson express) Thanks Paris. I was about to go dig that up. I remember a lot of us were startled when we read that, because we'd mistakenly thought for so long that Mrs. Westman was the one with the orange. A sort of version of "telephone" or "whisper down the lane" if you will. Someone says the wrong thing by mistake, and suddenly months go by and everyone remembers the wrong thing as the fact.

People have submitted their accounts at the above site. I tend to trust people's honesty until compelling reason to think otherwise -

Paris, help me out here..I believe someone stopped and asked her if they could call a wrecker for her..and that was why she said she already had called AAA..to sbd. I hadn't given it much thought until WW confirmed there were 2 wreckers at the scene. I thought it was discussed in the first mmm forum but maybe I read it in a paper. White Wash, do you remember this mentioned?
