Exactly Mason. And the ten mins after RO saw the red truck she states she saw HPD. Makes Smith arriving at approx 7:32.

Fits for the Cottage Hosp. employee.
Otherwise a time laspse for the CHE would be about 40 mins to drive approx 5miles.

Silky always stated SBD was the originator of the red truck sighting.

For example...Kathleen was targeted yesterday for not cooperating with the contents of Maura's car and computer. We've all seen the photos of the contents of Maura's car at the Wells River Motel, an the pi's requested a copy of the computer hard drive and were denied.
Perhaps the "founding mothers" were just better at understanding the dilemma the family faces in the quest for information on a public forum, Information that can only flow one way.

There were never any PI’s hired.

Take what information from Kathleen? Test what? The computer. The Murrays had it for less than a month before the NHSP retrieved it. One of the things Fred requested and went to court for was a copy of the hard drive

Even if they had it for just a week or two weeks why didn't they copy the hard drive themselves or look at it? Or did they look at it and just aren't saying, because that would have been the first thing I looked thru if I was searching for any clue that might tell me where my child went.

Because they didn't have a copy of "Knoppix Hacks" at the time and didn't know how to run the dd command. I don't blame them for that, most folks are ignorant of the free high quality tools created by the community, of the community and for the community.

If I can fish up the PI's addresses I'll send it to them, I got a copy.

Saw the photos Bill and others once posted of red pickup trucks, Ford F-250 and F-350, etc. Thinking of how my dad and brother always helped me move from apt to apt; would a pickup be useful in moving packed boxes? Or would the pickup described by RO with racks and slats be "overkill" for moving the boxes in Maura's dorm room? Does anyone know a friend or family member of Maura's who owned one?

I still speculate that LE knows about the red pickup and the driver, or else something would have "leaked" about an ongoing search for that vehicle.

Picture a triangle.... "A" on the top, "B" lower right, "C" lower left.

"A" = Point on Bradley Hill Road, 1/2 mile up from 112, red truck pulled off the road per Columbo

"B" = Saturn in the snowbank

"C" = Corner of Bradley Hill Rd and 112

Did red truck driver see Maura leave Saturn and cut into woods with the probability of coming out on BHR or the side street/driveway that branches off BHR at 1/2 mile from 112?(I know, I know, Cecil saw no prints leading off 112 --- but if Maura went up a private driveway or pathway and THEN continued into the woods from THERE...)

Of COURSE our speculations are related to our life experiences, but I was mugged in 1974 by 3 guys in Cambridge, MA; I'm vigilant yet I felt very safe and comfortable in Woodsville on 112. I think at least one witness saw SOMEthing, but I don't think it was a stranger abduction. JMO

Not a bomb. The red truck was not AT... THE (whatever THE is)... Amherst gallery. A - that's A - red Ford pickup is owned by someone who worked NEXT to AN Amherst gallery.

However, the truck is not a large, 3/4 ton PU or stake body. The truck does not closely enough match the description of the PU seen in the area Monday night.

There are about a half-dozen specific indications that he MIGHT be involved, but only in the mind of a diversionary schizo.

I think what puzzles a lot of people is that the computer was, according to the story, left untouched for all the time it was in the Murray family's possession. Most people would consider the hard drive's contents a potential bonanza of immediately available information. The hard drive's contents were obviously important enough to fight for in court at a later date. Why did the computer seem irrelevant during the first month and so very relevant some months or years later?

If NH LE is criticized for not having done enough in the first few critical hours after the Saturn was found, then how is ignoring the computer for a month consistent with this criticism?

I know you've explained it several times, but grep makes no friggin sense to me unless you're sitting next to me and I'm doing it as you instruct me. It's total gibberish to me. I don't speak IT.:-s It's my weakness.

The computer was with Kathleen and Tim, they didn't own a computer and didn't know what could be retrieved.

Maybe that's a good reason for not looking at such an important potential lead, but I think the average person would be puzzled by that lack of interest. I'm just saying that most people, IMHO, would think so little interest in the computer was strange.

But if someone - a PI, for example - told the Murrays to NOT go near the computer, then that might explain something.

This was in 2004. The computer was located at a residence where no other computer was located. How does that prevent any interest in the computer?

Most excellent question, Mr. Beagle.

The concern about dangerous sex predators using the internet to set-up meetings or dates with unsuspecting young girls and naive adult women has been a matter of public concern nationwide since well before February, 2004.

I think any responsible parent whose daughter was missing would want to review all of the potentially relevant files on the the missing daughter's computer to find out if some communications of a suspicious nature are present. I'd want someone who knows how to find erased files and recover them, which is something I don't know how to do. I think you need a special program to do it and I don't know how much it costs or if it's for sale to the public.

Her computer would have been the first and most important place to look for answers to Maura's disappearance, so much so, that I'm having difficulty understanding how any member of the family would have failed to realize that.

I'm trying not to be judgmental, but I have to admit it's a real struggle.

Even if they didn't know how to turn on a computer and lacked any interest to find out, someone in the family or one of their friends likely knew enough to at least be aware of the possibility that the computer should be checked.

Were they all that clueless, or have we been misled?
