Neither do I. But that still does not answer - or even address - the question.
If Maura was seen and talked to at the Rt. 112 curve by someone whose employer worked right across the street from Maura Murray's dormitory complex (SW), then would that be something worth looking into? Especially since the employee (driver) was the ONLY one to have said he saw and talked with Maura Murray that night.
This is not a really hard or complicated question to answer. I'm talking - as an example - one driver of one commercial vehicle who works for one employer in Amherst who him/herself works across the street from SW.
I'd just like some straight up replies, that's all. Thank you.
My "straight up reply" would be: At first I was going to say "no"...but then changed my mind. If I wanted to check out the character of the last person to see/talk to Maura, then I would talk to his employer.
Best I can do for right now...

Another phantom poster. Can't answer a simple question about a backhoe. How come? Got kind of riled up over that, didn't she? Or he?
I answered your questions about a clamshell, backhoe, and a front end loader. You are the one who started insinuating shit and as I stated you can call HPD with my name M_CHAPLIN ask for for Sgt.Smith. HE KNOWS ME. I was his neighbor at one time!

There was no crash in Haverhill, New Hampshire. This whole thing about the Saturn is a crock, just like all the rest of it. The anomolies in this case are overwhelming. For five years now the FIT/Duck Patrol has tried to maintain the fiction of a crash at the Rt. 112 curve. This "crash" was contrived from the start. In the Amherst area. At least one day before the Saturn was found.

I don't understand why you would answer like this. I didn't ask this question. I asked whether or not the proximity of the driver's employer would be something worth some looking into.

I thought you wanted to help find Maura Murray. Why would you avoid answering a simple question about whether or not a grave could be dug using a backhoe? I thought with your expertise that a simple question might help make some progress in a very conventional way. But even a conventional way is not allowed onto the table. Which confirms my ultimate theory. NO theory is allowed except one involving the specified actors, actors and props chosen in western Massachusetts.

Or you can also think of it this way. Forget it was a bus driver that stopped. Make believe it was a dump truck driver. The dump truck was owned by someone who owned only one dump truck. The dump truck driver was employed by the dump truck owner. The dump truck owner/employer worked across the street from SW.

Would there be any reason to have some interest in this? Would that be considered worth looking into a little more? "

"...interest in this?" You didn't specify that "this" meant only the location. I looked at the question as a whole; imo, the location was coincidence, and gave you my answer. Take it or leave it Beag, you wanted replies, I give you the best my brain can come up with at this time.

Inflammatory Speculation Alert! Scroll on by if you don't want to see ideas we come up with in a fact-void situation!

Could the Thursday night call that upset Maura have been from a Residence Counselor (or friend, even) who told her that she was being asked to leave UMass?

Could a stolen item listed in the Police Logs of the UMass Amherst Daily Collegian have been found in her dorm room? Or was she caught on video at a store? Like one entry in the UMass Police Logs involved someone using a forged check to buy a laptop computer at (I think it was) the college bookstore? I understand UMass is the size of a city, but the police logs about stolen purses, laptops, etc. just got this idea started...

Did Maura call her dad?

Did her dad come up that weekend to help Maura get stuff in order?

If I were a dad, I'd be concerned about my daughter, upset, disappointed, and angry because of how much I loved her. And then the Saturday night car accident?

Was Maura told that this would not go on her permanent record if she sought counseling?

Did she pack up the room that weekend?

Was there a plan worked out, but Maura ran away "off script"?

When in doubt, look for a pattern of behavior.

These are not all my own ideas. Some may have been another poster's as we tossed it around. That person is welcome to take credit for his/her share.

Just my opinion, but a hole dug with a backhoe at that time of year would be quite obvious--everything in February is essentially covered with snow and ic--it wasn't deep that year but it was still covered. Earth that has been moved is apparent--unless it was one in an area not travelled. Underground water pipes broke in the area this winter--the broken ground is still obvious two months later

Sure the police are just wasting money in Haverhill to satisfy what? The private detectives are wasting time and monies they could be making by cases that pay, for what?

The Rep for New Hampshire is bring Maura's case to be looked at by a newly planned cold case squad, and for what?

Because she went missing in Mass., ran off to start a new life. Sorry you present no logic to direct investigation away from Haverhill, that is not to say that the events and circumstances of Maura's disappearance began in Amherst and should be investigated. Perhaps you should take up you theory with the press and the District Attorney's office about the monies and resources being spent and used on a red herring. I am sure the citizens of Haverhill would be very interested to know that law enforcement is wasting resources knowingly to placate a disatisfied Father whose daughter has run off to Canada? or whatever scenario you have come up with, see how far you get with this and let us know the response.

So lighten up, Beagle before you find yourself being sued by the people in the building across the street from Maura's dorm.

You must take law enforcement to be fools, I realize that they have limited resources, but fools I do not imagaine them to be. Or in your scenario are they being paid to be quite like the private detectives because they too have a conflict of interest?

Hi Peri,

I can understand why NH is putting time, money, and energy into Maura's "case". If the SBD was correct, WOODSVILLE/HAVERHILL was the last place Maura was seen. If you look back a little further you will find facts that also make it logical that Maura had reasons to run away or to take her own life. Since there is, apparently, no evidence of foul play at the snowbank site, then in a way, Haverhill, NH was Just By Chance another victim of this event.

Posters say that their eyes glaze over reading my long posts. So I'll make this one short: In spite of being a great student, could Maura have been asked to leave UMass, as happened at WP? We know it's hard to break certain patterns of behavior quickly; it generally takes some time in therapy...

Any chance Maura's packed-up room was ready for her dad to load up into a pickup truck he borrowed? Did Maura leave him a note telling him where she was heading off to, and instead of loading the truck he followed her if he couldn't reach her by cellphone?

Most people can not handle it when someone takes their life or a horrible accident happens!

Guilt masked by blame!

I do not know who KB is but I do know that the family of Nicholas Garza was absolutely hell bent on insisting that his disappearance was a result of foul play. They made it into a huge town/gown (Middlebury College) conflict. It turns out that a very inebriated NG slipped and fell into a fast moving stream. His death was an accident. But his family to this day still blame the citizens of Middlebury Vt for his death.
