Where is MAURA MURRAY

Thanks for your post regarding the unknown girl in the Barton,VT, church.

I didn´t actually know that she had written her name in a visitors book and that she spelt it "Raykel". It´s certainly a very unusual spelling of that name, with "Rachel" or "Racquel" being far more common.

Considering how close Barton, VT, is to the Canadian border - is there any chance at all that Maura may be living in Canada? Just a wild theory, that´s all...

Do you always have to show a passport when crossing the border, say between Vermont and Canada?

What´s the situation?

hi all Billy Rausch went to kennedy hall with the police according to reports 2 days after Maura went missing.that would be wednesday feb 11 04 .reports also said Billy questioned by N.H. police after he arrived in N.H.was that the same day i forget.who were the first people in Mauras room at kennedy hall after she vanished can someone clarify please. Sharon R posted that there was no note left by Maura in her room.i assume she got this information from Billy Rausch. could someone post a time line from when Billy arrived in woodsville N.H.Did he go to Mauras room in amherst first.i just want to clear this up .did he fly to Boston on his way to N.H.take care philip

No passports, yet, but soon. In fact, I haven't had to show any ID in either direction for several years. Doppelganger and I take advantage of it all the time. Neat.

"At the time of Maura's disappearance," the port of entry laws did not require a US citizen to hold or present a "passport" to pass through Customs from the US into Canada and vice versa.

Euro..what I meant was..I get into my car..and within 3 hours I get out of the car (no stops)

Thanks for your clarifications regarding US-Canadian border controls.
It would seem from what you are telling me that Maura, in theory, could have gone on to Canada without any passport checks at the time.
Likewise, she could have been going back and forth between Canada and the US since then by crossing the US-Canadian border anywhere, say, between Quebec/Ontario and the New England states without any problems.
From a point of pure speculation, this certainly widens the geographical net substantially.

So no sooner do I post something about Fred's Corolla (yesterday) than someone comes into my backyard last night and picks up a few sections of a maple tree trunk, about 18 inches in diameter, that I was splitting into cord wood, and smashes them into my lawn mower, which they further damage by ripping the cables out of it and one of the handles off, and then they smash another huge log into the back of my garage. Just a coincidence?

Rooney's ex-wife, identified only by initials in the affidavit, obtained a restraining order against him in April 2000, according to the affidavit. She accused him of drugging her "many times so he could rape her."

She also accused Rooney of threatening at least once to kill her, according to the affidavit.

Are you serious? That's just wrong, I hope you find out that some kid is out of hand or something. Do you really feel that this bit of info you referred to would make someone come to you like that? Maybe you should ask editors to take your addy off.

RE: vandalism of Beagle's property---after I became a fairly regular poster on the MMM forum, I was contact and visited by the Haverhill PD (at about 10:00PM on a Friday night) investigating the theft of a laptop from a neighbor of mine. They claimed to have followed my snowmobile tracks into my yard from the yard of the house that had the laptop stolen. We weren't even in NH that weekend, and had the keys to the machine with us in RI. I always felt it was meant to be somewhat of a threat to me to not get so involved.
