That had sort of a chilling effect on my desire to talk to LE again.

But it also told me I was onto something. I still don't know exactly what, but I've been shaking every tree I come to really, really hard to see what falls out and then I go on to the next tree and shake that one really, really hard. And the one after that...

But, too, there have been many times when I have been tempted to throw the whole towel in. Seeking justice can really suck sometimes. The gas tank can get pretty low.

Well, not exactly. Instead, after photographing the damage, I wheeled the lawn mower out to the front yard and put up a sign saying a certain individual, alluded to in a nearby post, had vandalized it. "Vandalized by ..." is what the sign reads. If he disagrees too much, he can find the person who did it. Otherwise, the sign stands.

The McDonalds in question is the one in Woodsville, NH, as far as I know.

Shack, the rest area of which Silky had pictures was just south of WRJ on I-91 (northbound, I'm pretty sure)- where Barbara Agnew's car was found in a snowstorm. Rest areas on I-91 are not places that I would ever want to be at night - Silky spoke of drug trafficking - and I only stop in the daytime if there are MANY people there.

Sophie, thanks for the 20 on the Mac. I agree about those rest areas. A few years back I stopped after dark at one in Deerfield MA, on I-91 North, only about 20 minutes from home, but I couldn't wait. I was driving my truck, my wife was obviously in the passenger seat. I went to what I figured was the least problematic place to go, and in seconds, out of nowhere, some guy was making an advance. I changed his mind for him, but that was pure luck. And that was practically in my own town.

The I-91 attacks of some years ago stopped after a guy almost killed a woman at the Putney exit convenience store. After he was sentenced, the attacks stopped - at least that was according to a VSP public relations sergeant.

And, yes, I can assure y'all that drug trafficing is very commonplace along I-91 in MA. I assume it's pretty common in VT, too. A lot of it originates in Holyoke.

I had many pm's from posters on Maura's website regarding the description of the man I saw. One poster said in reply "Very observant."

I believe this person posted only two more time and stopped. Also, at the same time this poster joined another joined. I believe they were together. This person also stopped posting. That is my opinion. I have often wondered about those 2.

I still believe Maura was abducted and held. She was still with us June 06. Unless there is PROOF otherwise, I will not change my mind.
