Yes, that true. Shouldhave took that into consideration. Just wanted to know who posted it and why.<quoted text>
the younger Floyd's name was also put "out there" by way of rumor and speculation at one point.
McKay is dead. he cannot defend himself against rumors at this point.

Judged: 1 1. I read it off the computer screen to Helena, but see #3, below. 2. Wrong. Helena's email address is posted on MMM forum. 3. She IS answering her own email request. She was able to log in long enough to read her email but not to respond. Apparently her computer was bitten by whatever trojan was over at Advocate's site. 4. Don't you DARE criticize me for doing what Mason asked me specifically to do. It wasn't enough that he posted it, and now it's not enough that I acted like I was his goddamned secretary and leapt to his order and relayed his message. I'm now getting criticized for that? What in plaid rabbit hell, Dawn? Seriously. |

Oops. Speaking of computers misbehaving....sorry bout that, folks.

I know that Project Jason's web site has a lot of media information. Articles and links. There's also info about McKay somewhere in that 33-page log. |
took=taken. Geesh

Judged: 1 1 1 Hi gvemeabrk! I'm responding NOT to give flak but to say that McKay was on duty that night. Dispatch report says that McKay responded to a hotel in the Lincoln area "for unknown reasons." I'd have to go back to the dispatch report but IIRC he was at the hotel for a brief time (5-10 minutes?) around 9:00'ish p.m. |

Judged: 1 1 you're right, gvmeabrk. maybe it's time to rule in or rule out hearsay/rumor, if at all possible. |

CORRECTION: Looking at the dispatch report, McKay was in Franconia not Lincoln. On 2/9/04, he arrived at 87 Wallace Hill Road at 21:39 and cleared at 21:46. Narrative says "44k off in the area of motel unknown reason." |

Lady Gray, Thank you very much. Save me a long search and reading. I knew I had read a post. |
You're very welcome. Is there something else that makes you think he rented a hotel room? |
Judged: 1 1 1 Actually, I was going to post that the rental of the room still bothers me and that it was mentioned somewhere. |
Sorry oh MY. It was not your post. Do have another question for you though. You mentioned that you rented a room, the BEAR room,I believe, that when the door seemed locked it would always open. What was this in reference to? |
Gvemeabreak - Here ya go.(Don't mean to answer a post for someone else.....just had it handy.) |
Thanks Lady Gray, this was long ago so I guess it didn't pan out. One more question down and out. |
Judged: 1 1 1 To use the words loving and father together when referring to Fred Murray is an abomination. You're a clueless idiot. |

To answer a question asked a few pages ago, there WAS a young man in Maura's class at West Point, who transferred (I believe) at the same time Maura did. He transferred to a college in the south. He was a basketball player. Sadly, he died suddenly about a week before Maura left Amherst. I'll get his name and the article. I post it every two years or so.(vaguely remember his name as Greg and I'm thinking of Stephen Austin Univ???? I'll get back to you all)
I'm not sure when this hit the newspapers --- wonder if he was a friend of Maura's? I ASKED Helena this in a private email and she said she didn't think that that would be enough to make Maura break down and cry like she did. I finally posted the article a few times over the years anyway.
"Tragically we must report that Greg Wallace, a former cadet, Class ’05, collapsed and died January 30 while shooting baskets at Stephen F. Austin. Greg graduated from Tomball High and played basketball for two years at USMA before transferring to Stephen F. Austin in the fall of 2003. The funeral was held February 6, with several Cadets from West Point and one Army basketball coach attending the service. A “Greg Wallace Memorial Fund” has been established at Huntington State Bank, 4822 North Street Nacogdoches, Texas 75965 (phone number edited dout per topix). The parents, Tim and Kathy Wallace, have another son playing basketball at USMA –Ryan Class ’07. We are all saddened by this event and the family has our deepest sympathies." guess i better get the source too! |
One (just one) of the articles about Greg Wallace's sudden death was in the:
West Point Parents Club Of Greater Houston Newsletter, dated FEBRUARY 12, 2004. I remember finding it elsewhere, dated not long after Greg passed away. Will check for that. |
