No problem. Thanks for taking the time to look. I just am trying to find out about the guy missing on the anniversary and coming up empty handed.

Dawn? I called my personal cellphone with a land line in the same room. I used a calling card. I dialed the 1-800, entered the pin and then entered my cell number. The caller ID gave the name and number of the phone in my other hand. When did this change, do you know?
I have always sworn that using a calling card cannot fail and is a great way to call someone you don't want knowing who you are..........

When did the first posters go up? I would imagine it took some time - figuring out if she was missing - and the family would have been in terrible shock.

I think it is still a good idea to continue to post them - you NEVEr know what might trigger a memory. This got so little exposure - someone could have been on vacation - saw her and didn't even know it was a missing person. you can print from project jason.

Dawn, There has been no further information on local news or papers concerning missing person who disappeared 2/9/09. How quickly things can be brushed aside!

Thanks because I just up and did it for some reason and never would have thought you could get busted like that. Maybe it's just cell phones capable of translating the info as such from calling cards?

I'd guess that not many people who have lived in the Amherst area for more than 5 years really think much about Maura Murray or even know who she was/is. I think it was maybe a little more than a blip on the local news when she disappeared, but has pretty much faded from most people's memory by now. Also, being a college area, it's a pretty transient population. A lot of local people probably CAN recall the incident, but probably haven't given it a thought in almost five years.

I would guess that Maura's disappearance has been discussed in the Wells River and Haverhill areas about 10,000 to one against Amherst area.

I've never seen a Maura Murray poster anywhere. Not that they don't exist. I've just never seen one. Missing persons posters, especially about a disappearance that occurred five years ago, is far less compelling around here than a missing animal poster.

A cat that has been missing five days will get a lot more publicity and attention than a person who has been missing five years.

I do, however, strongly believe that there is a very insistent interest in her disappearance by a small number of people from the Pioneer Valley area, including Amherst and Northampton.

I have roughly the same problem with posters' comments about Amherst - as few as they are - that Wowser has with the more numerous ones about Haverhill. A lot of what is posted, specifically regarding the local area, just makes no sense.

Much of what is posted about the Amherst MA area is not accurate or useful.

Clear up the facts please. We are listening. I want to know.

I am curious. You mentioned asking your uncle about the car. I would imagine that would have been the talk of the town and everyone knows all the details. Certainly in 5 (five) years you have talked to him about it.

Why was this not in your article??? curious that is big item that could be listed as "fact".

Something we need more of in this case.
