The person who reported that Maura was attending clinicals in Norwood was ALSO attending clinicals in Norwood. Since this person was driving, presumably (s)he knew the destination and location of clinicals.

By looking at Maura's bank statement from the closing date following her disappearance, the family will kow which ATM was used. Banks are required to list the details of where a transaction was made.

What I deduce from this is that the police in Mass. won't give this information--it wouldn't be NH, since the ATM and liquor store transpired in Mass and the FBI is also said to have done a fine job investigating at that level. So why would two different police departments AND the FBI withhold information from the family? Perplexing to me.....

NH LE has done BRILLIANT work in the recent past. Half and Suzanne Zantop, Dartmouth professors, brutally slaughtered in their own home one bright and sunny Saturday morning. I thought the killer was the visiting volcanologist from Arizona, then I thought the killer was the former Mossad guy from Israel who killed 2 young men in Boston. The high level sleuthing on the part of NH LE resulted in the conviction and incarceration of the 2 real murderers . If it were up to me I probably would have put the poor innocent volcanologist in prison. And then their is the Pam Smart case - equally good work on the part of NH LE.

I don't mean the city, I mean the actual location--which hospital/health care/human services agency.

philip, I have no idea why law enforcemnt won't share some of the information they have. IMHO maybe they do not have that information.

The public information about her life, relative to what is publicly known about most missing persons, is nearly nothing.

It's almost as if she did not exist until she disappeared.

If there exists an ATM video and if someone in that video can be identified by members of Maura's immediate family, then maybe LE thinks it's smarter to keep the video to themselves.

I know you don't know the answers but, if there's a video at the ATM, what was she wearing? Was her hair up or down? Any jewelry? Why didn't the Mass. LE release the pictures from the ATM video like they do in so many other cases? The family was pleased with the investigation that the FBI did, so I'm assuming they have this information but aren't disclosing it maybe???

I think what she was wearing would be VERY important - in the early search's - or to see who might have seen her.......... and in recovery - knowing what you are looking for.........

Not sure why a nursing student at UMass Amherst would travel all the way to Norwood unless the clinicals involved some kind of work that occurred during semester break in Dec/Jan. Is this possible, or are clinicals either one semester long or suspended during school vacations?

Seems unlikely Norwood Hospital has much that other hospitals closer to Amherst do not have.

IIRC, Carney used to be something like a specialized head injury hospital? Is that true? Ironic, if so, considering Vasi. No connection, obviously.

Maybe Maura and her friend chose Norwood Hospital, if that's where the clinical was located, because it was near Hanson? But there's South Shore Hospital, too, I think, in Weymouth?

Definitely do not, however, overlook the potential significance of Summerhill House.

hi all , i have 2 people that were in nursing school at the same time as Maura and they say there were no clinicals in Norwood M.A. when Maura was there.I will double check with them and report back here.I have to ask who deemed what were the facts on the old forum.philip
