Judged: 2 LE made the connection to the partial set of remains and Michelle Nicholaou some time ago and it has been stated somewhere in print that LE obtained DNA through Michelle's sister in the hope of determining whether or not the partial set of remains were hers. The reason why I openly stated that I am not interested in discussing Nicholaou any further is because I believe his (2) children may be veiwing information sources such as these and they are innocent human beings and victims just like their mother in my opinion. I understand that there is a heck of a lot of information sources on the world wide web re: missing persons, unsolved homicides, and potential persons of interest to pile through for newcomers and old timers alike. I try to be careful what I put out there and 99.9% of the time I am nothing more than a shoubox of facts that have already been made public. |

Okay, I apologize for posting twice. I don't apologize for anything else......
Here's more. I hope this puts to rest the lies that Maura wasn't on the UMass-Amherst track team. The following is taken from a news article - link shown below: “The UMass Amherst track team, for which Maura competed, held a ceremony at a track meet in Richmond, Va.” http://enterprise.southofboston.com/articles/... |

It was what one of the darkest chapters in Massachusetts' treatment of its sick and disabled. In the 1890s, according to records obtained by Boston Magazine, at least 26 patients at a state hospital for epileptics in Palmer many of them boys 14- and 15-years-old were sterilized by having their testicles cut off. Everett Flood, then superintendent of the state institution that later became the Monson Developmental Center, reported his gruesome surgeries in a letter to Martin Barr, president of the American Association for the Study of Feebleness, the magazine said. above from: http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/A/ea_123038ap_sto... |

In addition to examining the history of the hospital, Riddell's first-year seminar focuses closely on the effects of deinstitutionalization on the Northampton community. "We looked at how the hospital changed Northampton when it first opened, but it was especially interesting to look at the effects it's having on Northampton now," says Gilbert. "Since it closed in the 1970s, a lot of the patients who left the hospital moved into Northampton, where they're living now, having to deal with the hardships of living without constant care."

Life Extension Institute
The Life Extension Institute was an organization formed in the United States in 1913 with the philanthropic goal of prolonging human life through hygiene and disease prevention.[1] Its organizational officers included many celebrity-philanthropists such as William Howard Taft, Alexander Graham Bell, and Mabel Thorp Boardman but also genuine medical experts including William James Mayo, Russell Henry Chittenden, and J. H. Kellogg and a "Hygiene Reference Board" of dozens of nationally recognized physicians of that era such as Maz˙ck Porcher Ravenel and Major General William Crawford Gorgas.[2] A major project of the institute which fulfilled its mission to disseminate knowledge was publication of the book How to Live, Rules for Healthful Living Based on Modern Science, now in the public domain. The institute was a proponent of eugenics including sterilization of "unfit" individuals: “ It depends largely upon the action of those now upon the earth, who are now making their choices of marriage, as to whether the races of the future shall be physical, mental or moral weaklings, or whether they shall be physically brave and hardy, mentally broad and profound, and morally sterling. To summarize: There are three main lines along which eugenic improvement of the race may be attained: (1) Education of all people on the inheritability of traits; (2) segregation of defectives so that they may not mingle their family traits with those on sound lines; (3) sterilization of certain gross and hopeless defectives, to preclude the propagation of their type.” above from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_Extension_I... |

A pamphlet for Birthright, Inc., a group that advocated "sterilization for human betterment," exclaimed, "CHARITY IS NOT ENOUGH... After the bills are paid, nothing will have been solved permanently; 90 per cent of the feebleminded will remain in the community to reproduce and most their children will inherit this handicap.(p.181) |
