It has NEVER been stated as a fact that FM did not want Amherst looked at. It might have been speculated by many that this is true, but it IS NOT TRUE. LE including The FBI and U-Mass Police have all the info about Amherst, Hanson, Haverhill, etc. You are not working with all the info required and ad-libbing the rest. It might fit but it isn't the true facts.

Mason, who's "Ralph"?
Mason, what is YOUR issue.
I disagreed with you. ONCE.

Of course, I did let fly at Beagle.

It would be a good deal easier to remove possibly unnecessary attention from SBD or other locals if there were some interest in actually discussing murderers and violent offenders who might have been in the area.
We've been doing that, haven't you noticed?

Why don't you apologize for your nasry and brutish ways and offer something positive to the discussion?

The SBD appears to be guilty of adjusting his recollection to please, or not offend the person asking questions. He's probably so mixed-up now that he isn't sure what's true and what isn't. This is bad news for everyone because he is the only witness who saw and spoke to the driver.
In a way, though, he's more honest than most witnesses because he has admitted that he isn't certain. Witnesses who are certain often are mistaken. I prefer the former to the latter.

Some of my best friends were Neanderthals and they were a lot nicer than Sophie.
Actually, all of my serial killer clients are nicer than Sophie.
Wow, that's a new one. And here I've never even killed anyone, but I'm meaner than serial killers.

Let me see if I can repeat myself more clearly, since Mason appears not to have grasped it the first two times.
What I'm saying, and ALL that I am saying, is that anyone who feels that anyone's sexuality is a basis for "trashing" them (in any and all senses) is a Neanderthal.
As nearly as I can tell, unless Mason is less verbally competent than even I suspect, the reason that Mason is calling me nastier than a serial killer is because I made this statement.
Please, feel free to correct me if I'm stating that erroneously, Mason.

How curious. We have been unable to rule out Lovie Riddle, Micahel Nichalaou or Brian Rooney. I would hardly consider any one of the three to be a stretch. Would you?
a source on this forum states brian rooney lived in the area at this time and has yet to further confirm with specific details.
i no longer believe everything i read.

re: Riddle and Nichaulou (sp?)...better minds than mine will rule in/rule out.

however, to my thinking, it seems improbable that a serial killer would have come upon Maura Murray at that particular location/date/time.
a killer, possibly...a serial killer, not necessarily.

more probable, a chance/opportunistic abduction...and not necessarily by a local resident.

The "nastiness [spelling corrected] and brutishness" was engendered by Beagle's crude and ignorant comments. If you have a problem with nastiness and brutishness, I suggest that you take it up with Alden/Beagle etc.

Dawn, you are still wrong.
"Before June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens do not necessarily need a passport entering Canada by land or sea, but need valid ID that proves identity and citizenship."
This is from the link you posted. Therefore, US customs officials who do not DEMAND to see your US passport when you return from another country BY LAND are NOT guilty of a horrible breach of homeland security, as you specifically insisted in a previous post. I live IN a border state as well.
Sorry Sophie Bean..........a drivers license is not citizenship - my first post did NOT say passport it said citizenship - nexus pass ( need a reason work in ca or us vise versa) or a birthcertificate. They want to know what citizens enter cananda - and the US wants to know WHO is coming in.. That is why we have legal aliens that can drive. One of my best friends is german - she has a licsence.... such a shame after 9/11 that people think since then you can just come and go.. not the case. UNLESS it is on the EAST coast.. and.......... damn that is one big red flag

Ralph is Ralph Nader, of course.

I'm not Beagle, but I respect his right to post here and I also respect the many important contributions he's made. I disagree with many things he says but I believe his heart is in the right place and he's trying to contribute something positive.

You only seek to humiliate, embarrass, and hurt.

You should be ashamed of yourself and I would ban you from posting here, if I had the power to do so.

<quoted text>
"redundant"
1 a: exceeding what is necessary or normal : superfluous b: characterized by or containing an excess ; specifically : using more words than necessary c: characterized by similarity or repetition <a group of particularly redundant brick buildings> dchiefly British : no longer needed for a job and hence laid off

Therefore, a new government agency where one already exists to serve precisely the same function is REDUNDANT.
This is not a matter of opinion or emotion, it is a fact.
Whether such redundancy is required, and WHY such redundancy should be required,(and whether such redundancy can and should be funded in these financial times) would be matters for the citizens of NH.

Canada and Mexiso do require a passport as of Jan 1 2009.

Here is the link from the US GOV.

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_22...

Don't know why we are wasting our time on 2009. But it is a fact.

Also a fact in 04 to prove citizenship - birthcertificate.. drivers license means nothing.. the end.

Still VERY concerning if the East coast just let people come and go . Just on CNN today is the guy we stopped at the border that was going to blow up the LA airport at the WA/CA border...... good thing we didn't just check for a drivers license

Snowy, jmlh has provided painfully explicit detail of exactly how such an abduction would SEEM unlikely but nonetheless happen at a particular location/date/time.
I have been trying hard to point out that there are plenty of reasons to look at known violent offenders NOT from the immediate area (read "not locals") who might have been in the area.
Someone - I don't remember who, perhaps OH MY, suggested that Rooney may have been inthe area at the time.
