I'm not sure - so I sent a PMDoes anyone happen to remember which house it was where the neighbor pointed out to Citigirl where he saw footprints in the snow?
The footprints were out behind his house but did not lead in from the street.

Judged: 1 1 I'm with Firecat on this one. If CW "reported" anything, everything that I have heard said about how that came about was that I mentioned it to some people- in a bar? I'm not sure about that - in passing some time after the fact. I have never heard that he first voluntarily went to police with the information, if it was information, and certainly not in a timely fashion. I absolutely don't want to "trash" the locals, but that doesn't mean that we are forbidden to seek the facts as they relate to Maura's case. I have never seen it stated as a fact that CW volunteered this information to police, and I do not want that to get started as a "fact" at this point. |

Judged: 2 1 1 running down the road then he arrived home prior to the lights WOULDN'T HE? If the trucks where pulled into Old Peter's Road how would see he had seen them? You are simply stating WHAT YOU THINK HE WOULD HAVE SEEN based on YOUR EXPERIENCES not HIS! |
||||
Judged: 2 2 1 Oh my God you're the one making them change their stories! You sure as hell didn't like the truth so let's pressure them so they say what ever we want to make believe believe what we want them to believe instead of the TRUTH! Just like you do here! Over and Over you say the same WRONG INFORMATION thinking you will WEAR PEOPLE DOWN! I strong sugguest you go back and look at where the NH Leg. of investigators came from. You think the professional bonds have been broken? Unlike you they have not turned on the fellow LE so notice how when Fred goes off half cocked they PRINT LETTERS STATING NOT THEIR VIEWS why cause they know what LE knows.

Judged: 2 2 1 a RED TRUCK and threw Atwood under the PI bus! WHY? Especially when he told people he heard the car hit the trees. But the Westmans believed they where not home! WHY? Why are there so MANY QUESTIONS about this STAR WITNESS NEVER ADDRESSED hum?

Judged: 2 2 2 it comes to trashing the locals!

Judged: 2 2 2 Most people tend to mind their own business! So you again are LOOKING AT THIS EVENT from a VIEW THAT NOT ALL SHARE! Look at how well it's pan out for those who stepped up to help! And you wonder why people would just keep driving? Oh Please!
|

I do remember Shack writing "We the FIT". I always thought she meant everyone on the forum. Didn't know when Weeper made up the term it was isolated to a list of certain people. Thanks WW. |

Judged: 3 3 2 There is a reason why Weeper and the group of professional PI's that are working on this don't come on the public forums badmouthing the LE and the locals as DC has done and that is because they are acting professionally by gathering information and not starting rumors or insinuationg that someone is guilty when there is no proof. Hell even if there was proof a respected and true PI would not state it on a public forum. Yes WW there is wrong information being given out IMO and maybe it's time to figure out the reason why. |

there is a strangeness around women willing to discuss the private matter of birth control vs. other details of Maura's life prior to her disappearance. odd. |

Judged: 1 1 To whom are you speaking? I was repeating ONLY what has appeared in the police report and in public documents about his account. CW did NOT, as I understand it, go directly and immediately to police and say "I saw this person, I don't know if this is relevant, but I feel like I should tell you." Again, I am bringing up a specific point of "fact" which is not fact and asking for clarification about it. I am not "trashing the locals" in any way whatsoever. |
||||
Judged: 2 1 WRONG. The "FIT" included everyone in the discussion, not a handful of people. "Forum Investigation Team" = anyone in the forum. And I never liked the term - it was and is Weeper's term. |
||||
Judged: 6 1 I agree. I do't believe that any so-called "professional" investigators should be giving out any information which is not already public - meaning that is contained in the police report or as reported by news media. I also think it's extremely unprofessional of a self-described professional investigator of any kind to be making prejudicial comments about any aspect of the case. |

FireCat, I know each car is different; I was driving down Rt 128 at around 70 mph and knocked the gearshift of my car from D into N. I was shocked and just counted my blessings that it wasn't knocked into R! I think it was a 1985 Accord. Maybe going into neutral is a shift that can be made more easily than into a gear like reverse. I'll check the internet... |
||||
I'm not familiar enough with the geography of that area to answer that question, which is why I've generally avoided the topic of whether or not I think it's possible that he saw/didn't see the accident or a young person running. I just don't know. |

Judged: 1 1 1 "His house sits behind TM and if he saw Maura running down the road then he arrived home prior to the lights WOULDN'T HE? If the trucks where pulled into Old Peter's Road how would see he had seen them? You are simply stating WHAT YOU THINK HE WOULD HAVE SEEN based on YOUR EXPERIENCES not HIS!" __________ CW reported seeing the person running approx. 4 to 5 miles easterly down the road from the acc. scene. It is reported that he arrived home at approx. 8 pm and if this is true then he would have seen the flashing lights and the activity at the scene. CW house sits beside, but slightly further back from JM house. If you come down BHR and pull into his driveway you are able to see the acc. scene as well as the Westmans house. Sorry....but he most likely would had to have noticed what was going on. |

I don't think it was. I think--in my own recollection, I'll have to go back and check my records, which I have found (thank you god!!)--that Weeper listed some names off the top of his head as he recalled them from being frequent posters, but also gave a general, blanket sort of "and anyone else I may have forgotten to name" statement. It's not my understanding that Weeper EVER meant to exclude anyone who'd ever posted on a forum, simply because he didn't recognise them by name. Since it seems to matter so much to people, I will go search for that post--it may take a while, because (a) there are, you recall, some 580 pages of them,(b) I'm not sure if I can search or if I just have to wade in, and (c) I have to teach four classes in the next 24 hours so I may not get to it soon. |

That I can tell you: YES. It's designed that way. Knocking into neutral doesn't damage the engine, drop the transmission out of the vehicle, or cause potential and immediate harm to the occupants by, say, propelling them in a direction they weren't prepared to go. If you can accidentally knock your car into reverse, something is VERY VERY WRONG! |

I am just now back on. Apology accepted and I apolgoise as well |
