Brianna was likely abducted/murdered by acquaintances. She knew and probably hung around with the person(s) that did her harm. She was certainly at higher risk because of the people she associated with. Maura would have been in the lowest of risk categories with no known affiliation with that type of element so it is far more likely a stranger abduction or runaway or suicide. At least that is my opinion. Bill

And when was this? I personally don't think Fred was rude or unpolite while getting his way but like everyone else when things aren't then all begun PIA correct. As simple as that rightly so there are people who seen all sides of Fred which makes him human not some GOD! paris wrote: I became friends with a young man in Vermont who told me Fred came to their door, talked with his parents and himself to help get the word out and find what they knew. He said Fred was polite, brief and it was not a bother to them at all. He was part of the forum for awhile until he saw that it went around and around, going nowhere. I don't know what name he used but he's on my buddy list and we chat from time to time.

Bill ok. had to look that one up, since i'm lacking in similar coolness. so, the possibilities are nearly a short list...at least in my mind right now if we eliminate an extended list of longshots.

So many posts to get me thinking....but let's say Maura did run off and was seen 5 miles away, 1/2 hour or so after the accident. If it got to be too much, too cold, she'd know what to do. As a runner even, she could plug along until she found shelter. I wonder too if somehow she could have fallen asleep and drifted away.

At least that is my opinion. Bill Well actually, he provided a little bit more information pertaining to Brianna's case during his initial statements but like many things I've noted about the numerous active investigations I've been following over the past five years, those statements are no longer public. I just wanted to re-iterate that his findings between Maura's & Brianna's disappearances during those first few weeks/months were very different. People may not know this about Dr. Godwin but he is a missing persons advocate and has VOLUNTEERED his time and expertise on numerous cases for at least a decade. I'm sure he'll be present at the National Roundtable Conference held each year right here in Wilmington this week as a matter of fact. He volunteered his expert opinions on Maura's and Brianna's behalf as a favor to a friend and nothing more. The majority of the books he published are purchased and read by members of law enforcement. He is also an educator in the field. The search grids he normally provides have proven to be quite accurate. When you started up the poll on the other site I thought to myself, "Hmm, I'll be interested to see if Bill's findings will mirror that of Dr. Godwin's." re: abduction. I do not expect you to make those findings public and I'm just thinking out loud. Paris, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the post about your mother's music box, thank you.

It is hardly "idolizing" her to respect her work. Even someone who disagreed with her - and I often did - could and should respect the time and effort she put into these cases.

This is why I so often just nod and smile and keep my mouth shut, one has to choose their battles. Helena was the ever present monitor. She vetted every post, my posts would have never been allowed on to the MMM forum. Actually I am remembering something I had totally forgotten, I did post ONCE (Helena must have gone to the bathroom or something) when Helena got back she apologized to the forum members for letting my post on. I was immediately erased. Is there something wrong with a multicultural society that you'd care to share?

Anne, Wowzer, Helena saw a post of mine about the woman who stopped and was going to call AAA for Maura. Maybe it was at another location or less likely the weathered barn location. I only read it and when I brought it into a post Helena spoke up and asked me to find it. She had seen it too, she said, and then never found referrence again. That's all I can say. Maybe an ad in the paper asking if anyone recalls, would help, maybe not....

Let's take vote shall we? We are the LE you have a car of what you believe to be a DWI now in this area cars get left and claimed later! FACT! "Oh I wasn't driving" a friend was driving and I just found out you impounded it! Now how many think this was a chance? I'd do! So you may think what you want about our LE I'm going to bet in one of the three folders someone took finger prints off that stearing wheel just to settle the "I wasn't driving" statement! Anyone else?

What jumps out in my memory (that might not be 100% accurate) was the term 'wrecker' instead of tow truck being used. I dug through archives for about an hour last night and turned up nothing.

Wasn't there another cup inside that car that has been tested hum wouldn't that explain why the air bags have been cut maybe a little DNA testing and maybe a rough count of alcohol expelled by the driver? Do you honest believe that HAS BEEN SENT TO THE LAB? If you don't then why isn't you BOSS stating his daughter wasn't driving that car? Why is it that Fred has changed from the no proof she was drinking to who cares if she was? Why??? <quoted text> WOW - 2nd cup ?
