I must have missed the part where someone made a breakthrough and solved the case. I’m trying to understand all the progress that has been made over the last five years by these posters. Many of them the same posters who have been here for many years. I suppose that people that have spent considerable time and effort to help with this case that perceive that they have been lied to, have a reason to get pissed off. I know the times that I felt it happened to me I was plenty pissed.

I don’t know how you know what is going to help and what isn’t but that is probably because I’m not too bright. In spite of that, I will read and post where and when I feel like it with whatever opinion I have about whatever I am thinking at the time. Those are my abilities and I intend to do that. I suggest that EVERYONE else do the same. You may choose to read or not read, to respond or not respond those are your abilities.

Actually, the whole of the matter is....we don't KNOW yet what matters and what doesn't. So, in that sense, until we know what happened to her, yes. Everything matters.

All of this perhaps leads me to believe that the investigation is further along than it seems?

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

But gee Saturnus, then there would be almost nobody here! The best and the brightest have already been driven away, just like Pike and Whiston were driven off the Murray family controlled MMM forum. And if everyone left that you want to leave then that would mean MMM all over again and you know how successful MMM was at finding Maura.

hi all, I have to agree and say it does matter in a big way why and if Maura left Amherst and once in a while its nice not get ducked over.Even though when i wake up tomorrow i expect to see the usual 'how dare you ask about Mauras prior life' posters.It usualy takes about 8 to 10 hours to shoot down any thoughts from anybody to LOOK AT MAURAS ' PRIOR LIFE.see you in the morning .Take care philip

If you wanted to MAKE a person? You'd MAKE one just like her? Really? Just EXACTLY like her? The technology is - and was - certainly available. Virtually the same thing was done in James Robl's UMass lab some years earlier by Robl's grad students. Robl didn't learn of the "experiment" until later. I believe that he, to his credit, put a stop to it.

I was under the impression that Maura was at WP for 3 completed semesters. And then at UMass for 2-3 completed semesters. I was also under the impression that she was 21 when she disappeared. Now even this is unknown?

After 3-4 years of following these forums, in the last few days I've come to the same conclusion it seems several of you have expressed - no idea how we can be of any help with M's LBD (life before disappearance) so secretive. I sit and try to wonder why would I keep a family members LBD secretive. How could this benefit in any way to help find her? If LE told me to keep "hush"..after awhile I'd be frustrated/ticked off and start talking to anyone willing to help. UNLESS, I KNEW FOR SURE that LE had evidence my missing family member was deceased; they had evidence of whodunnit but not enough yet to arrest. Maybe then I'd stay quiet??
