quija wrote: I don't understand either why there was so much secrecy about Maura's life before Woodsville. A simple guess: For some time she was much more upset than we were told, was acting out a lot, and that this isn't really the way you want to describe someone you love --- by their worst times, not their best ones. Maura seemed to be behaving like (as Suzanne said) she or her world was falling apart. I sure don't know what was bothering her. So Maura's disappearance IS still a mystery to the public. But perceiving her as maybe being "troubled" rather than "perfect" can make her disappearance a little less of a mystery. And that's probably what we weren't supposed to know and exactly how we were not supposed to see Maura. Oh, and we weren't supposed to explore if there was a specific "why". Maybe it's because it's no one's damned business except LE and her family. You all are turning into a bunch of nosy, whining busy bodies that have lost track of the whole issue, a young woman went missing 5 years ago. Does any one of you actually think posting on a website will bring her home, be it dead or alive? I don't blame her family and friends for keeping certain information from the public. If some pertinent information is leaked it could jeopardize the case and prevent a possible conviction. To top it off you all interject your personal, ego stroking opinions. What a laugh you all are, a pitiful laugh!!!

Are you saying that you think it's time to stop the posting, since we're sort of stalled, and just talking, and probably already have any info that LE can give us without damaging the case? Maybe it IS time to give it a rest and let LE do their job?

Early on, a poster named names of people in the area with criminal histories whom he/she suspected... that probably wasn't great to do. If posters began investigating, say, art theft at a gallery, that could impede an investigation if it turned out it WAS something Maura witnessed at a gallery that made her run.... etc. There really isn't much of anything new for anyone to post, just our speculations and reevaluations of things already said or published.

No it was not great or right to do, but also nothing to do with LE; if someone wants to sue for slander/libel they are welcome to do so without involving LE. I am sure LE is used to dealing with these types of problems as there are over 100 unsolved cases in NH to have experience from. Did this art gallery theft really happen?

Not to my knowledge, anyway; it was just an example of how posters might stumble into the middle of an investigation. The forums can continue or not; if they do, fine; otherwise, people who want to help the missing will be doing "their own thing" to help --- building websites, donating money, putting out fliers, etc. There is nothing to fight about.

Here goes: Maura is missing, has been missing for five years. It's the confusion and the way it happened that gets to me. I hate puzzle pieces that do not fit, so I keep trying to figure it out. Then something new is brought up and we explore the possibilities. We really do go around and 'round. Was there a red truck seen on the road too? Was there a flat at the scene? Did the airbags go off? These are the things I wonder and in doing so refer to those who were around, doing this, saying that. While it helps to know as much as can be known, it's also a matter of who's right would it be to lay certain things out there? I want to suppose again here. Let's say there was more than meets the eye, because we simply aren't to know. I can appreciate that. But if there's more than meets the eye and five years do not produce some confrontations, it's a stand still. What will the cold case squad do that police, PI and family can't? Is there a person of interest? Was someone antagonizing her, did she leave behind clues on the PC......are they open with Fred? This is what I hope for, else this just goes on and on.

I just check in usually to see what could be new. I am not obsessing. Alot of us do that in hopes that God speed the answers, less the answers that don't need to be out there. When all is said and done, maybe it will make the papers and in so many words we'll get the gist of it and move on. It's hard to walk away from a soap oprah too. But if they drop the show, you have no choice. Reminds me of dark shawdows. I watched that soap after school periodically, it was interesting and part of how I spent my day. Well, this is too for Maura Murray.

In your opinion since our views of the facts are very different here. Some of them seem to be questions. Some of them are still "out for consideration" that is to say, yet to be proven one way or the other. FireCat wrote: <quoted text> I can't read this list and clearly figure out what it's a list of. I'm not trying to be a jerk. But some of these things that you list under "bold faced lies" are NOT lies, they are facts. Some of them seem to be questions. Some of them are still "out for consideration" that is to say, yet to be proven one way or the other. And some of it I just flat-out don't understand what you're trying to say.

You probably won't for a long time! Our fact paths are different! So those who have the insite or facts or open mind as I do understand those who don't don't! Nothing more or less than that FireCat! FireCat wrote: <quoted text> I just flat-out don't understand what you're trying to say.

Thank you for answering that question. I agree, no need to fight at all.

We have to keep in mind. You don't just get away with sueing the state and the attorney general.......... someone , somewhere, knows something.. and I think it sits with NHSP........ It was obviously planned.......... I still can't believe the mistake in the letter the death. Can you imagine opening that letter? Thinking - great they know she is dead and this is how I find out? gotto wonder. I would really like to hear from Weeper...... This is all so sad.......I agree with Paris we keep coming back.. not sure if that really is the right thing to do.. going back to my suggestion of media media media......... another cold case on cnn today........ these are all to common.

We have been told her PC was not searched by the family. Maybe it was - and it holds valuable information that would hinder the investigation - enough that LE wanted it back???

Is there anything we can do to keep all "Registered Sex Offenders" segregated from society permanently? They never get over the impulse! Seriously, do we just write our Congressmen? In some ways Muslim Sharia law might not be a bad idea. Sorry, but I just got really pissed looking at the stuff these offenders did to people, and they're back on the street before their victims have even begun to heal! Okay, back to the topic, as we don't know if a RSO harmed Maura... If one did, LE better protect him carefully, because there are a lot of furious people.
